Union member Le Van Khuyen - security guard of Toyota Northwest Son La Joint Stock Company - said that from the "Supporting Union members and workers of Son La Trade Union" Fund, his family was supported with 30 million VND to repair the "Trade Union Home". The support helped the family reduce the cost burden, stabilize accommodation and feel secure at work.
During Workers' Month, 750 union members and workers of Son La Toy Co., Ltd. participated in the Trade Union Meal, with each meal worth 51,000 VND, of which the Provincial Labor Federation supported 30,000 VND.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tan - Chairwoman of the Company's grassroots Trade Union - said that the program creates an atmosphere of solidarity and sharing, contributing to encouraging workers to feel secure in working and attached to the business.
12 grassroots trade unions organized Trade Union Meals for more than 2,500 union members and workers; the Provincial Labor Federation presented 30 gifts, worth a total of 75 million VND, to support union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases, work accidents, and occupational diseases.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Son La Provincial Labor Federation supported the construction and repair of 5 Trade Union Warm Houses, with a total value of 230 million VND. In particular, nearly 7,000 turns of union members and workers benefited from care activities with a total budget and in-kind items worth over 5 billion VND. Specifically from the Trade Union funds of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Labor Federation, 4,212 union members and workers were supported with a total amount of over 3.4 billion VND.
In addition to caring for life, Son La Trade Union focuses on representing and protecting workers' rights through dialogue, negotiation, and signing collective labor agreements, focusing on wages, meals, working hours and working conditions.
Grassroots trade unions coordinated to inspect 32 enterprises, detected 110 risks, violations and proposed remedial measures; and at the same time reviewed and supplemented 35 internal regulations, procedures, and safety working measures.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Labor Federation established and received 7 grassroots trade unions; admitted and received 1,610 union members, including 558 new union members, reaching 80% of the target. Trade union levels introduced 425 outstanding union members to the Party, of which 190 people have been admitted.
