Grassroots trade unions give wings to workers into the Party
Due to the specifics of shifts, production schedule pressure,... Party development work in non-state sector enterprises in Vinh Long once faced many difficulties. However, reality shows that when the Trade Union proactively gets involved, direct production workers can completely mature.
As a skilled worker, many years attached to the production line at My Phong Leather and Footwear Co., Ltd. (Tap Ngai commune, Vinh Long province), Mr. Le Thanh Tan regularly handles complex technical errors, contributing to maintaining productivity and product quality of the enterprise.
The day he was admitted to the Party was an important milestone for Mr. Tan. From a mechanic, he was more aware of the responsibility of setting an example, the pioneering role and the discipline of Party members in the industrial labor environment.
According to Mr. Tan, becoming a Party member means having to work more standardized. He actively participates in the movement of initiatives to improve, save materials, support colleagues, and create a positive spread in the worker collective.

Mr. Cao Huu Trong Bac - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment & Production Joint Stock Company (Tra Cu commune, Vinh Long province) - said that the Trade Union does not chase after quantity but focuses on the quality of the source introduced to the Party.
According to Mr. Bac, the union members introduced must be truly exemplary, reputable and capable of gathering workers, thereby contributing to building a stable, harmonious and sustainable labor environment.
Provincial Trade Union opens up a long-term direction for Party member development
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that at the provincial level, Party development work among workers is deployed synchronously, in accordance with the specifics of non-state sector enterprises.
In the period 2023 - 2025, the whole province had 1,700 outstanding union members in enterprises considered, fostered and admitted to the Party. This result reflects the effectiveness of linking Party development work with the labor production movement.
According to Mr. Linh, the main source of admission comes from industrial parks and clusters, where young workers are concentrated, with high qualifications and quick absorption capacity. This is a potentially rich force, if properly cared for, it will become the core of politics in businesses.
Stepping into the 2025 - 2030 term, the Provincial Labor Federation determined that on average, each grassroots trade union introduces at least 1 outstanding union member to the Party for consideration, fostering, and admission.
According to the Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, Party development among workers is a key task to maintain the nature of the working class of the Party, especially when non-state enterprises increasingly account for a large proportion. Party development work among workers must be in a sustainable direction, focusing on the quality of outstanding union members, ensuring standards and spreading in the collective labor force.
When workers are Party members, labor relations in the enterprise are more stable. Workers have political support, while businesses benefit from a disciplined, responsible, and attached labor force," Mr. Linh emphasized.
