On May 13, the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations (CSPL and QHLD) of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held a workshop on the topic "Trade unions participate in identifying, assessing risks and risks and proactively proposing solutions to protect occupational safety and hygiene" (ATVSLD).
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - attended and chaired the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that the workshop is one of the activities in response to the Month of Action on Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2025.
Over the years, Trade Unions at all levels have made continuous efforts and implemented many practical activities, contributing significantly to raising awareness, sense of responsibility and improving occupational safety and health conditions at enterprises and production facilities. However, in reality, the occupational safety and health situation in many places is still complicated.

The workshop is an opportunity to deeply assess the current situation, evaluate the results achieved, point out the shortcomings and limitations and especially focus on discussing and proposing specific and effective solutions to enhance the proactive role of the Trade Union organization in occupational safety and health.
"The content of identifying, assessing risks and risks and proactively proposing solutions is one of the original solutions to build a safe and healthy working environment. Hopefully, the delegates will increase exchanges, discussions, and proposals from practical experiences for the workshop to be successful, meeting the needs of implementing occupational safety and hygiene protection in the coming time" - Vice Chairman Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized.
After the opening, representatives of the Department of Health Prevention (Ministry of Health) and the Vietnam Association of Occupational Safety and Hygiene presented the reports: Assessing the occupational sanitation work of the state management agency, recommending trade unions in ensuring OSH, preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases; Some recommendations for trade unions in identifying and assessing risks and ensuring OSH at the enterprise.
On that basis, delegates also discussed and shared experiences on a number of solutions to be implemented in localities and units.
