Mr. Nguyen Cong Minh Khoa - Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Safoco Food and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (Safoco) - said that according to the company's collective labor agreement (TƯLĐTT), every year, in addition to salary, the enterprise also pays holiday and Tet bonuses of an average of 4 million VND/person/year; paying the 13th month salary from 2 to 5 months salary/person depending on seniority and performance results; employees (NLĐ) who get married are given a wedding gift of 2 million VND by the company, if both husband and wife work for the company, they are given a wedding gift of 5 million VND; female employees on maternity leave according to regulations are supported by the company with 3 million VND/person...

Welfare policies are implemented by the company in a practical direction, suitable to actual conditions, prioritizing employees directly involved in production, those in difficult circumstances, female workers and trade union members" - Mr. Khoa said.

Mr. Truong Hoang Tam - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Printing Joint Stock Company No. 7 - said that in the company's Collective Labor Agreement for the period 2026 - 2028, many benefits are recorded that employees enjoy such as: Meal allowance of 48,000 VND/person/meal; the company buys accident insurance for employees who have signed labor contracts for 6 months or more, gives gifts worth 3 million VND to employees when getting married, if husband and wife work together at the company, they are given 2 allowances; allowance of 1.5 million VND/month for female employees on maternity leave; allowance of 300,000 VND/month/child for employees raising young children from 7 months old to 5 years old. In particular, to encourage employees to study to improve their qualifications, the company rewards high school graduates 3 million VND; employees who register to study and graduate from university for the first time are both rewarded 6 million VND; graduates from university for the second time, postgraduate, the company considers rewarding 6 million VND depending on each case.

The company also subsidizes at least 30% of the basic monthly salary for each year of employees working at the company up to the time of starting to receive pensions" - Mr. Tam added.

At Nidec Vietnam Company, the company's Collective Labor Agreement stipulates that male employees whose wives have children, in addition to the prescribed days of leave, are entitled to an additional day off with full salary; employees whose grandparents, brothers, sisters have passed away are entitled to 2 days off with full salary; housing allowance of 300,000 VND/month for employees working for 12 months or more...

Promoting dialogue and collective negotiation

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, in 2025 alone, grassroots trade unions in Ho Chi Minh City have newly signed 379 collective labor agreements; amended, supplemented, and re-signed 2,786 collective labor agreements. The Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization focuses on improving the quality of negotiation, signing, and implementation of collective labor agreements with many contents that are more beneficial than the provisions of law for employees such as: Ensuring jobs, salaries and salary scales, salary tables with salary levels higher than the average by 5% - 6%, even some units higher than the minimum wage prescribed by the Government; Tet bonuses (year-end), bonuses for typical and excellent employees with many initiatives, with many values that benefit businesses; rewarding children of union members and employees who achieve high achievements in studying; supporting children of workers in particularly difficult circumstances; supporting childcare and kindergarten costs; supporting the purchase of voluntary insurance 24/24h...

The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation is also the first unit to conduct surveys and collect 246 collective labor agreements for the garment and footwear industries in the city.

Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the first Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, has set out three breakthrough programs, including promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on salaries, bonuses, working hours, rest, and occupational safety and health.
