After receiving the information, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed the Trade Unions at the grassroots level and the grassroots trade unions to grasp the situation of employees and promptly propose to the business leaders to resolve employees' recommendations on salary increases, especially enterprises under Hoa Loi Group.
However, the leaders of Hoa Loi Group only acknowledged the proposed opinions and did not resolve them. After the work stoppage at Rollsport Shoes Company Limited, Tho Xuan District Branch of Hoa Loi Group, created a chain effect in companies under Hoa Loi Group and spread to other companies.
The trade union takes action in a timely manner
After the provincial trade unions at all levels, especially the working delegations of the Provincial Federation of Labor, coordinated with the authorities of districts and related units to participate, discuss and grasp the aspirations of employees, then discuss frankly and responsibly on the basis of law with the leaders of the companies to ensure the legitimate rights of employees as well as stabilize production, the leaders of the companies proposed stable plans, the work stoppages quickly ended, workers returned to work, and production activities of the enterprises returned to normal.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has proposed to the Provincial People's Committee and employers appropriate policies to protect the rights of workers, especially in FDI enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan - Head of the Legal Policy Department of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor - said that all of the above collective work stoppages are only stable when the Trade Union organization is involved. The Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor has also directed the direct superior trade unions and the grassroots trade unions to increase their grasp of the thoughts and aspirations of workers, and promote dialogue and negotiation.
