Workers were excited to receive gifts from the union.
In recent days, after receiving Tet gifts from the Binh Tan District Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City, the workers of X Garment Company (the company name has been changed) were very excited. Because this year, due to the company's difficulties, it is expected that there will be no Tet bonuses for the 30 workers working here.
Mr. Pham Minh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Garment Company X - said that the company operates in the field of sewing children's clothing. Due to the increase in raw material prices, slow sales of goods, and difficulties with the company, it is expected that there will be no Tet bonuses for workers. In that situation, the Labor Union of Binh Tan District promptly took care of each worker with a gift worth 300,000 VND. "Everyone was excited when receiving the gift. Although the gift is not much, it shows the concern and care of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers," said Mr. Minh.
Also in Binh Tan District, near Tet this year, Kyung Rhim Vina Company ceased operations, causing more than 350 workers to lose their jobs. The Binh Tan District Labor Federation coordinated with relevant agencies to introduce 150 workers to work at another enterprise in the same industry in the district.
At the same time, each worker also received 2 million VND from the Binh Tan District Labor Federation and Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in support, and a Tet gift worth 200,000 VND.
Ms. Le Ha My Hong - former Chairman of the Trade Union of Kyung Rhim Vina Company - said that the workers were happy because they were taken care of promptly.
