Support bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet
The Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor has just planned to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Priority will be given to workers in especially difficult circumstances, those with occupational diseases, serious illnesses, work accidents, and those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods... At the same time, it will encourage and support workers whose working hours have been reduced, who have lost their jobs, or who are owed wages and bonuses; and workers who stay at their production and business units during Tet.
According to Mr. Hoang Dinh Trung - Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial Labor Federation, in order to best care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation mobilizes the support of local Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and sectors; mobilizes organizations, businesses, local authorities and individuals to support and dedicate resources to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of Tet.
Besides, activities to care for union members and workers of all levels of trade unions in the province continue to be organized in a diverse, rich and practical manner, creating new motivation and spirit among union members and workers.
The Provincial Federation of Labor organizes activities to care for and support union members and workers, with an estimated amount of 5 billion VND. It supports about 10,000 gifts in cash and in kind from the Provincial Federation of Labor's budget and socialized sources.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and encouraged some units with workers staying at agencies, units, and enterprises during Tet; some families of workers with especially difficult circumstances. In particular, 200 - 300 bus tickets were supported for union members and workers to return home for Tet, with a support level of 300,000 - 500,000 VND/person.
Organize effective care activities
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", Nam Dinh province's trade unions at all levels plan to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" focusing on grassroots and upper-level trade unions. Focusing on adapting to the actual situation, ensuring safety, savings, efficiency, and attracting union members and workers to participate.
For grassroots trade unions, focus on organizing the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" in enterprises with 200 or more workers or organize other appropriate forms of care and encouragement. District and city labor federations, industry trade unions, focus on organizing in industrial parks and clusters, places with a large number of workers. Time of organization, end of November and beginning of December of the lunar calendar.
The Chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor added that the highlight of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025 is the "Trade Union Tet Market". The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor will organize the "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" at the provincial level in the industrial park with a large number of workers. The organization will last for 3 days, expected from January 4, 2025 to January 6, 2025. In addition, the Federation of Labor of Hai Hau and Nghia Hung districts will be assigned to organize the "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" at the district level to share and take better care of union members and workers.
Along with mobilizing resources to take care of union members during Tet, the Provincial Federation of Labor assigned trade unions at all levels to participate, inspect and supervise the implementation of policies for union members and employees during Tet. The direct superior trade union at the grassroots level directs the grassroots trade union to proactively grasp the situation and participate in and coordinate with employers to develop plans to pay salaries, bonuses and other benefits during Tet, and promptly publicize them so that employees know and supervise their implementation. For enterprises facing difficulties in production and business, the grassroots trade union proactively proposes solutions and recommendations suitable to the situation of the enterprise to ensure that employees are paid salaries and bonuses during Tet.
