Over 145 billion VND to take care of union members
According to the report, since 2023, Vinh Long Trade Union has mobilized 145 billion VND to take care of union members, including 123 billion VND in regular support, 12 billion VND in new construction, house repair and 10 billion VND in incentives, improving life and labor solidarity, along with many other welfare programs.
Ms. Le Cam Tu - a worker at Ty Bach Company Limited - said that the 20,000 VND shift meal helps workers have stable health and shows real concern, feeling secure in working long-term.
"In addition to regular health check-ups at the company, the Trade Union also coordinates with health agencies to organize specialized examinations, helping workers monitor and comprehensively protect their health.
The care regimes from the Union and the enterprise help us clearly feel the sincere care, creating motivation for long-term attachment to the company," said Ms. Cam Tu.

As for Mr. Le Minh Thanh, a worker at My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited, he could not hide his joy when the Union supported him to build a solid house, helping his family stabilize and work with peace of mind.
According to Mr. Thanh, in addition to housing, the Trade Union also maintains many other practical regimes such as shift meals, loan support, cultural - sports care and education for union members' children. These activities help workers improve their lives and have long-term attachments to the enterprise.
Mr. Thanh hopes that care programs will continue to be maintained so that many other workers in difficulty will have the opportunity to stabilize their lives.
A solid roof and a practical companionship regime help workers gain more confidence and a spirit of long-term attachment to the enterprise, said Mr. Thanh.
Towards sustainable welfare
Discussing the results of activities and breakthrough strategies in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the highest goal is to ensure a stable life for union members and workers.
Looking back at the past period, Mr. Linh highly appreciated the effectiveness of practical support programs: "Although it is short-term support, the "Tet Sum Vay" program or the "Union Shelter" Fund still bring clear results, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of hundreds of union members".
According to Mr. Linh, the most urgent need for workers at present is housing. Without settlement, you cannot have a career. Therefore, sustainable welfare is considered an inevitable step, requiring mobilizing large resources and special support from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In addition to housing, Mr. Linh emphasized that many other programs have also been effectively implemented such as quality shift meals, periodic health check-ups, loan support, cultural, sports care and education for union members' children, helping to improve the quality of life and create a cohesive working environment.
The provincial trade union focuses on two key institutional projects with a total committed capital of more than 600 billion VND. The Giao Long Social Housing and Trade Union Institution Project with over VND554 billion will be completed in 2027, and the Long Duc Sports Center with over VND60 billion is expected to be handed over in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Mr. Linh also affirmed that in parallel with major projects, the Provincial Federation of Labor will improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, ensuring that the Collective Labor Agreement brings practical benefits in terms of salary, bonuses and leave for union members.
