Currently, Yen Dung Ward Trade Union has 4 full-time union officials. In addition to managing the above grassroots trade unions, Yen Dung Ward Trade Union also manages union members and workers in the area of 2 neighboring communes and wards (not eligible to establish a commune or ward trade union).
Recently, to stabilize the apparatus, the Yen Dung Ward Trade Union held a conference to announce the decision to establish and launch a new executive committee. The ward union has directed grassroots unions to organize union meal programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day (September 2). The Nenh Ward Trade Union is currently directly managing 47 grassroots trade unions and 9,679 union members, mainly grassroots trade unions in enterprises and private schools. In addition to management in Nenh ward, the Nenh ward Trade Union also manages grassroots trade unions in 3 neighboring wards.
With 4 full-time union officials, the Nenh Ward Union immediately implemented activities to care for union members and workers.
Mr. Ha Minh Vi - Chairman of the Nenh Ward Trade Union (Bac Ninh) - said that as soon as the ward trade union was established from July 1, 2025, trade union officials urgently grasped the situation of workers and trade union activities in the area to continue maintaining trade union activities, taking care of union members and workers.
Accordingly, the Ward Union has directed grassroots unions to organize activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, focusing on organizing the Union Meal program; directing grassroots unions to review, amend, supplement, and negotiate the signing of new Collective Labor Agreements, because many legal documents have now changed.
Up to this point, the Nenh Ward Trade Union has coordinated to organize 4 Trade Union Meal programs; while grassroots trade unions have organized 21/47 Trade Union Meals. Nenh Ward Trade Union visits each grassroots trade union to work and grasp the situation; at the same time, the Ward Trade Union has developed a working plan with 63 enterprises that have not yet established grassroots trade unions in the area on trade union finance issues and establishing grassroots trade unions.
Mr. Ha Minh Vi said that currently, the management area is large, the grassroots trade unions are dispersed, and the ward trade unions are facing difficulties in coordination in other communes and wards - where there are no commune or ward trade unions. Mr. Ha Minh Vi hopes that in the coming time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will urgently provide guidance on the functions and tasks of ward and commune trade unions and instructions on the collection, expenditure, management and use of ward and commune trade union finances.
According to the instructions on the establishment of commune and ward trade unions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in communes and wards where industry and services are developed, many union members have potential for socio-economic development, there are 1,500 union members and 10 grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions are established commune trade unions.
