On July 23, the grassroots Trade Union of Ty Bach Co., Ltd. (Binh Minh Industrial Park, Vinh Long province) coordinated with the Vinh Long Provincial Red Cross Society and Can Tho City Hematology - Blood Transfusion Hospital to organize a voluntary blood donation program with the participation of a large number of union members and workers.
Responding to the call to donate blood for the community, many workers registered to participate early in the morning. At the end of the program, the organizers received 198 units of blood that met the standards, supplementing the blood bank to serve emergency care and treatment for patients.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - a worker at Ty Bach Co., Ltd. - said that this is the fourth time she has participated in blood donation. According to her, each blood donation brings joy because she knows that her blood drops can contribute to saving patients who need blood transfusions.
According to Ms. Lam Thi Ngoc Ha - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Ty Bach Co., Ltd., the voluntary blood donation program is an activity that the trade union maintains regularly to promote the spirit of responsibility of union members and workers towards the community. Each launch has received positive responses from workers in the enterprise.
Ms. Ha said that the blood source received from the program not only contributes to supplementing the blood reserves for medical facilities but also spreads the message "one drop of blood given, one life left behind", encouraging more and more workers to participate in humanitarian activities, for community health.
