From finance to medical supplies
On the morning of October 10, at the headquarters of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, the Executive Committee of the unit's Trade Union organized a fundraising campaign to support people in areas affected by storms and floods. The activity has received enthusiastic response from all officers, employees and laborers at the company.
Mr. Vo Thanh Hung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - said that with the motto of taking community benefits as a starting point for all activities, the company always focuses on social activities, supporting people nationwide, union members, and workers affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods. Therefore, the company quickly launched a fundraising movement, joining hands with sectors and organizations across the country to help people affected by storms and floods, including relatives of union members and employees of the company.
When launching the donation campaign, we were very happy that the activity received positive responses from union members, employees, and employees at the company. We hope that this support will help people in areas affected by storms and floods overcome difficulties, Mr. Hung shared.
In addition to taking place at the head office, the donation activity was also held at the company's branch in Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park (Can Tho City), Mekong Delta General warehouse, along with all branches of the sales block not affected by storms and floods.
Not only stopping at financial contributions, Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and the Trade Union also organized a team to examine and distribute free medicine to people in the northern region affected by storms and floods. Previously, on October 6, the unit also donated 60 million VND through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Cai Khe ward to support people affected by storm No. 10.
A road trip of love
Can Tho City Labor Federation informed that the unit has called on affiliated trade unions to mobilize civil servants, public employees, union members, and workers in the area to uphold the spirit of solidarity, actively support, share, and provide material and spiritual support to people facing difficulties due to the impact of storm No. 10.
In addition to cash donations and transfers through the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, the City Trade Union also coordinated with the Can Tho City Youth Union and the City Student Association to organize a support point with necessities called "Can Tho City Charity Tourism".
At the Trade Union of Jia Zhi Company, Soc Trang branch (Can Tho city), the necessary necessities were donated by the company's members, employees, and employees, which were arranged and transported to the reception point. This is not only material support but also the affection and encouragement of the company's members, employees and employees for the people who are suffering damage caused by storms and floods.
Ms. Do Thi Hoa - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Jia Zhi Company, Soc Trang branch - shared that the unit has launched a donation campaign and has so far received many necessities and other necessary items such as mattresses, books, ... to send to people in flood-affected areas.
"It is appreciated that some union members, employees, and workers, even though they do not have the conditions, are still willing to donate a portion of their salary or a meal to support their compatriots. The Executive Board of the Trade Union has compiled this amount of money to buy more necessities. We hope that these things will partly share and encourage members, employees, employees and people affected by storms and floods in general to overcome the current difficulties," Ms. Hoa confided.
