On July 23, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee - chaired a dialogue conference with union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers to listen to and resolve recommendations related to employment, life and the labor environment.
With a spirit of democracy, frankness and constructiveness, the conference recorded many opinions from union members and workers focusing on issues directly related to working conditions and quality of life.
In which, many workers hope that the province will have a breakthrough mechanism to develop social housing and rental housing suitable for affordability; accelerate investment in trade union facilities, schools, medical facilities, cultural and sports activity areas serving workers in industrial zones and clusters.
In addition, many opinions reflect that infrastructure in some industrial zones and clusters is still inadequate, many roads are degraded, the drainage system is not synchronized, and environmental pollution is still occurring, affecting the travel and health of workers. Union members also proposed that the province soon have fundamental solutions to handle these shortcomings.
In addition, workers proposed that functional agencies review and guide the unified collection of the Disaster Prevention and Control Fund; strengthen solutions to ensure security and order, traffic safety, and prevent and combat fraud in cyberspace; pay attention to planning the system of kindergartens and nursery groups to meet the needs of workers to send their children to school.
Some opinions also proposed policies to train and improve the quality of human resources and digital skills for workers; creating favorable conditions for the development of Party organizations in non-state-owned enterprises.
At the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches directly exchanged and answered many contents under their authority, and at the same time recorded recommendations to continue researching and directing resolution.
Concluding the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to fully summarize the opinions, issue documents assigning specific tasks to each unit; clearly define responsibilities, settlement deadlines, and at the same time strengthen inspection, urging and publicizing the handling results.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen wished that the team of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, improve their qualifications, skills, labor discipline, proactively innovate, be creative, and accompany businesses and the province to build a modern and stable working environment, contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development goals.
On this occasion, the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation presented gifts to representatives of 20 out of a total of 200 children of union members and workers who were supported in the program "Giving pens to grade reading, learning English"; and awarded prizes in the short video creation contest for union members and workers with 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes.
