On the morning of January 15, at Du Long Industrial Park, a working delegation of leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; along with Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the VGCL... visited and presented 200 Tet gifts (each gift worth 1.3 million VND) to workers and laborers and 100 gifts to poor households in Thuan Bac district.
Present at the meeting very early, many workers expressed their joy at receiving meaningful gifts from the Central delegation.
Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Trang - a packaging worker at Innoflow Ninh Thuan Co., Ltd. - shared that she was born into a poor family, her father had a stroke, so all household expenses depended on her salary.
Despite the difficult life, Ms. Trang always strives to complete her work and production tasks. In recognition of her contributions to work, Ms. Trang was selected by the company's union as one of 200 workers to receive gifts on this occasion.
"Today, I am very happy to receive the Tet gift from the leaders of the National Assembly and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Thanks to this gift, my father and I have a better Tet" - Ms. Trang said.
Similarly, Ms. Pham Hong Thien Nhan - a worker at Hoang Thanh Do Luong Production and Investment Joint Stock Company - said that over the past year, the company has regularly received large orders. Thanks to a stable job, Ms. Nhan's average income is about 7 million VND per month.
Receiving the Tet gifts, Ms. Nhan boasted that she would use the money to buy new clothes for her two children at home.
"I thank the National Assembly and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their encouragement and support during Tet. I hope that more union members in difficult circumstances will receive Tet gifts from the union organization," said Ms. Nhan.
Talking with leaders, Trade Union Presidents, union members and workers at Du Long Industrial Park, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - was interested in the employment situation, salaries, benefits and welfare policies that the company offers to workers.
Meeting each Ninh Thuan worker, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong also asked about their health and sent best wishes to them on the occasion of Tet.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her joy at presenting Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at Du Long Industrial Park. She hoped that these gifts would be a source of encouragement to help workers celebrate Tet happily and warmly.
