On February 7, information from the Lao Cai Department of Home Affairs said that after many meetings with departments, branches and related units, the province has agreed on a plan to receive officials from the Transport Hospital.
Specifically, 14 officials of Yen Bai Transport Hospital will be received and transferred to work at health stations in communes and wards.
In which, there are 1 general practitioner, 7 nurses, 3 public employees of the Pharmacy department, 2 public employees of the accounting department and 1 public employee of the General Planning Department.

Previously, in December 2025, after Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles reflecting the collective of officials and employees of Yen Bai Transport Hospital who have been late in paying salaries for more than 4 years and waiting for jobs, Lao Cai province organized many meetings to discuss and find a definitive solution.
According to the Department of Health, through working sessions with functional units, from 2021, Yen Bai Transport Hospital began to fall into a situation of owing salaries to officials and employees.
In the following years, the hospital only maintained intermittently, mainly conducting periodic health check-ups for drivers and employers.
By June 2024, the Hospital could not carry out procedures to change the medical examination and treatment operating license, lost the ability to sign health insurance medical examination and treatment contracts and was forced to temporarily suspend operations.

Currently, the Department of Health has sent a document to the People's Committee of Lao Cai province requesting the Ministry of Construction to report to the Government to implement the dissolution of Yen Bai Transport Hospital.
After the Transport Hospital dissolves, Lao Cai province will receive all existing public employees to be arranged to public non-business units directly under the Department of Health.
Regarding the fact that officials and employees of Yen Bai Transport Hospital are owed salaries and social insurance for many years, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested the Ministry of Construction to coordinate and resolve it thoroughly.
In case of transferring payables to localities, there must be specific instructions from the Ministry of Finance for localities to implement.

Mr. Lai Van Quynh - Head of the Organization Department, Chairman of the Trade Union of Yen Bai Transport Hospital - shared: "We are very happy that after many years of sticking together, our jobs have been resolved. Thank you to Lao Dong Newspaper for speaking out and accompanying the hospital's staff and employees.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Hoan - chief accountant of the hospital - also confided: "Over the past few years, I have had to work as a hired laborer everywhere to take care of my family. Now being considered for suitable work, I am really touched. This is a meaningful Tet gift after so many hardships.
