Speaking at the conference, Ms. Ho Thi Lan Huong - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - emphasized that the establishment of the Hai Chau Ward Labor Union is one of the major steps to concretize the Party's policy on implementing the 2-level local government model. With a high sense of initiative and responsibility, up to now, the City Labor Federation has directed the establishment of 26 ward and commune unions in the whole area.
The Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation requested the Hai Chau Ward Labor Union to promptly improve the organization, develop operating regulations, focus on directing and organizing the workers' movement in the area.
In addition, it is necessary to promote the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the tasks of the Trade Union organization, contributing to improving the political, professional, legal and citizen awareness of union members and workers.
Ward unions need to actively coordinate with agencies, units, and enterprises to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members; gradually improve the material and spiritual life, improve working conditions, and take care of the health of workers.
At the same time, closely coordinate with the ward's Party committees, authorities and functional agencies to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises; ensure security among workers and laborers.
Another important task is to organize and mobilize workers to join trade unions, build grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions in the area; at the same time, continue to innovate and improve the quality of trade union activities to meet the requirements in the new situation.
