With nearly 1,040 employees, the company always integrates safety goals into the production plan, considering this not only a legal obligation but also a social responsibility and a foundation for sustainable development.
Chairman of the Trade Union Luu Duc Hung said that the company is constantly improving the effectiveness of risk management by organizing periodic health check-ups, enhancing internal inspections and regular training on safety, chemicals, as well as drills to respond to emergency situations.
Along with that, Liwayway Da Nang Food Industry Company Limited also synchronously deployed measures to ensure safety for workers. Fully equipping personal protective equipment and safety instructions before each shift is a mandatory requirement.
This year's action month, the company organized a fire prevention and fighting drill with the participation of nearly 300 workers; periodically inspected the machinery system and provided occupational safety training for new workers.
Vice President of the Trade Union Trinh Thi Kim Binh said that these are practical activities that contribute to reducing risks at the workplace.
Many businesses are also actively integrating occupational safety and hygiene content into sustainable development programs and internal emulation such as: "Safe Labor - High Productivity", "Creative Safety Corner". These initiatives have created space for workers to contribute ideas to improve the working environment.
Peak period to raise awareness
With the theme this year being "Strengthening assessment, identifying risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", the Action Month is becoming a peak to raise awareness for both employers and employees about the importance of this work. Units and enterprises in Da Nang seriously implement the plan of the City People's Committee, promote accident prevention programs, build a safe, friendly and sustainable working environment.
Chairman of the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, said that the trade union has proactively innovated communication methods on occupational safety and hygiene, guided grassroots trade unions to review and perfect the occupational safety and hygiene network, launched the emulation movement "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene". Caring activities have also been promoted such as giving gifts to victims of work-related accidents, occupational diseases and workers in difficult circumstances.
At the city level, according to Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation Le Van Dai, trade unions at all levels are vigorously implementing the breakthrough content from the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor: "Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on working hours and occupational safety and hygiene". Grassroots unions are enhanced in their capacity for dialogue and negotiation associated with the characteristics of their profession, improving the quality of shift meals, training on accident prevention, and ensuring a safe working environment.
With many flexible, creative and synchronous approaches, Da Nang City is affirming its commitment to a safe and humane working environment - where workers work, contribute and are protected by specific actions.
