The 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, will take place on December 26, 2025 at the Dong Thap Provincial Conference Center (My Tho Ward). Attending were 295 delegates representing 200,168 union members/206,545 workers and civil servants working in 756 grassroots unions and 90 guests.
The theme of the Congress is "Innovating the content and methods of operation; performing well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; promoting the spirit of solidarity, building a strong Trade Union organization, contributing to the sustainable development of Dong Thap province".
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress is identified as an important political event for the working class and trade union organizations, with the task of implementing 4 important contents, including: Discussing and approving the Report summarizing trade union activities for the period 2023 - 2025 and deciding on targets, directions, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; Participating in giving opinions on the draft documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Participating in giving opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Announcing the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation for the 2025-2030 term; Decision to appoint a delegation to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.
It is known that under the absolute, direct and comprehensive leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with the efforts of Trade Union officials, the enthusiastic participation of union members, workers and laborers, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province have gradually overcome difficulties and challenges, been creative, flexible in work, and achieved many impressive achievements in Trade Union activities and the workers' movement.
Through regularly innovating the content and methods of operation, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province effectively implement the annual work theme. In particular, the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers and laborers is prominent, contributing to building and developing harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
In addition, continue to strengthen and proactively monitor the grassroots, grasp the situation, promptly detect and recommend to competent authorities any problems and shortcomings in implementing regimes and policies, and propose solutions to ensure the rights of workers in a timely and effective manner.
In particular, regularly innovating propaganda and education work in the form of coordination, harmoniously combining traditional methods with the application of technological advances, promoting internal communication capacity and coordinating with many media agencies and units inside and outside the province. Thereby creating a diverse and rich communication effect... helping union members, workers, and laborers raise awareness of the Resolution, policies of the Party, the State's laws and policies, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor... These are important premises for the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union, contributing to the whole country entering a new era: the era of national growth.
