The Can Tho City Labor Federation has issued a plan to organize a grassroots trade union congress towards the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
According to the Can Tho City Labor Federation, trade union congresses at all levels marked a fundamental change in the organizational model in the new era; promptly concretizing the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws into the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress.
With the motto "Solidarity - democracy - discipline - innovation - development", the Congress is a political activity session, with the task of summarizing and evaluating the implementation of the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress of the past term, proposing the direction of operation of the new term, amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; electing the new Executive Committee of the Trade Union.
Regarding requirements, Trade Union Congresses at all levels must continue to innovate content and form towards practicality, efficiency, attach importance to quality, save time and money, and be on schedule. The political report must correctly, objectively and comprehensively assess the situation and results of implementing the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress at its level in the past term, at the same time, determine the direction, goals, tasks, and solutions for the new term close to the actual situation and have high feasibility to organize effective implementation.
The preparation of contents on the personnel of the Executive Committee and positions; participation and synthesis of opinions and recommendations on the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers and trade union activities, and participation in opinions amending the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union must ensure the leadership principles of the Party and the higher-level Trade Union, in accordance with the actual situation of the Trade Union in the new development stage.
According to the plan, grassroots trade unions (CDCS) have 100 or more union members to hold a grassroots trade union congress. Trade unions with less than 100 union members and grassroots unions hold a plenary conference or delegation conference, to be completed before November 30, 2025. The official Congress time; conference time is no more than 1 session, encouraged to be associated with the summary of trade union work in 2025 of the unit and enterprise.
The 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, will be held after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of the city and completed before December 31, 2025. The Congress time is no more than 2 sessions.
