According to the plan of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, trade union levels will deploy a variety of forms, creating a peak period of care and support for union members and workers; paying special attention to and supporting those in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, suffering from serious illnesses or losing their jobs; contributing to stabilizing labor relations, ensuring social security; creating motivation and trust for workers to be attached to businesses, units and trade union organizations for a long time; linking Tet care activities with activities to celebrate the Party and welcome Spring; celebrating the 14th National Party Congress, term 2026 - 2031; National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031 and trade union congresses at all levels.
The theme of activities to care for union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 is "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet".
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will organize delegations to visit, give gifts, and wish Tet to union members and workers at enterprises, industrial parks, export processing zones... at enterprises and units where there are outstanding production and business results, many workers in difficult circumstances, low incomes, heavily affected by natural disasters, remote and isolated areas, heavy, hazardous, and dangerous industries...
Expected expenditure level is 1,300,000 VND/person (including 1,000,000 VND in cash and 300,000 VND in in-kind gifts). Funds for implementation are from the regular operating fund at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour level.
Online Trade Union Tet Market 2026 has nearly 2,500 items
The VGCL has also implemented the online program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026". VGCL Vice President Phan Van Anh said that on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the VGCL continues to organize the program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026".
Participants are trade union members belonging to the Vietnam Trade Union system. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will support 200,000 union members and workers (500,000 VND/person); the total amount of support is 100 billion VND.
Goods serving the essential needs of union members during Tet include food, beverages; gift packages, Tet gift baskets; decorations and products related to Tet; garments, chemicals, electronics, household appliances...
Responding to the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program launched by the VGCL, the Trade Union of Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) has promptly and synchronously implemented Tet care activities for union members and workers.
With the consistent spirit of "All union members and workers have Tet", EVNHANOI Trade Union has proactively reviewed and selected the right beneficiaries, focusing on union members and workers in difficult circumstances, low income, affected by natural disasters and diseases. Accordingly, more than 70 EVNHANOI union members have been supported with vouchers worth 500,000 VND/person to purchase essential goods to serve Tet through the online platform of the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program, ensuring publicity, transparency and compliance with regulations.
The implementation of support through online shopping vouchers not only facilitates workers in choosing essential goods but is also in line with the digital transformation trend, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Trade Union organization's care work.
Not only carrying the meaning of material support, essential goods shopping vouchers also help EVNHANOI employees reduce the burden of spending at the end of the year, creating conditions for union members and employees to prepare for Tet more thoughtfully, fully and warmly.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that the 2026 Online Trade Union Tet Market has a total of nearly 2,500 items, mainly essential items serving Tet for workers. "This year, fast delivery, many essential and valuable items for workers have appeared in the 2026 Online Trade Union Tet Market," Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha assessed.
2,500 union members, workers and their relatives are supported by the Trade Union with air and train tickets to return home for Tet.
Along with the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026", the VGCL has implemented a plan to organize activities to support vehicles to take union members and workers home for Tet and return to work during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. This activity aims to reduce the financial burden for union members and workers who are still in difficulty or have outstanding achievements in labor and production...
Accordingly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will organize "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2026" and will allocate 500 one-way air tickets and 500 gifts worth 300,000 VND/gift (in cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation to support union members and workers to return to their hometowns for Tet.
Along with the "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2026", the VGCL also organizes the "Trade Union Train - Spring 2026". The VGCL distributes 2,000 two-way train tickets and 2,000 gifts worth 300,000 VND/gift (in cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation, and Vietnam Railway Trade Union.
The funding for organizing "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2026" and "Trade Union Train - Spring 2026" is taken from the financial resources of Trade Unions at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour level; socialized sources; and the support of partners signing cooperation agreements with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
Being given free air tickets by the Trade Union organization to return to her hometown for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Ms. Den Thi Tieu Van - a worker at Vietnam Green Environment Joint Stock Company (Tay Ninh province) is very excited.
More than 10 years ago, due to difficulty finding a job in her hometown, according to the advice of a friend, she went to Tay Ninh to apply for a job. Having a job, life gradually stabilized. Although she has not bought a house, the income of the couple is enough to cover living expenses and raise 2 children.
Due to high travel costs, during the long time away from home, she could only return to her hometown for Tet about 3 times. "My family currently has 4 members. If the whole family goes home by plane, according to my calculations, the ticket price alone is about more than 20 million VND. This is the amount equal to the total monthly income of both husband and wife," Ms. Van recounted.
Therefore, Ms. Van plans not to return to her hometown for Tet this year. But after hearing trade union officials at the company say that there is a program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to support air tickets for the departure flight, she registered and was one of the people who received free air tickets. According to Ms. Van's calculations, being given a plane ticket, she saved about 7 million VND.
I hope the VGCL will continue to implement this program for many years to come," Ms. Van expressed.
