According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, on August 29, 2025, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued Plan No. 22/KH-TLD on organizing trade union congresses at all levels towards the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.
However, to ensure the progress of the congress time, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor adjusts the time of the congress of provincial-level trade unions, central industry trade unions and equivalent, and general corporation trade unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, as follows:
The provincial-level trade union congress is adjusted: Conducted immediately after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at the same level and completed before December 31, 2025. The central and equivalent industry trade union congresses and general corporation trade unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor must be completed before December 31, 2025. The Congress term is 2025-2030.
For grassroots trade unions with a structure of delegates attending provincial-level trade union congresses and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, focus on directing congresses to ensure the progress of provincial-level trade union congresses.
The Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested provincial and municipal labor federations, central and equivalent industry unions, and general corporation unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to report to the steering committee on the organization of the congress to ensure quality, efficiency, and on time as prescribed.
