The visit took place in the context that Vietnam - Mongolia relations are at the best stage of development. The two countries have just celebrated the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1954 - 2024).

The delegation also met and discussed with members of the Mongolian Parliamentary Assembly, visited the Academy of Labor Relations and Social Affairs, the Trade Union Cultural Palace, visited the No. 14 Inter-level School named after President Ho Chi Minh, visited a number of grassroots trade unions and enterprises in Mongolia, and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia.

At the contacts, the leaders of the two organizations highly appreciated the traditional friendship of Vietnam - Mongolia to strengthen the expansion strongly during the past 70 years. The relationship between the VGCL and CMTU also contributed positively to the increasingly strong and comprehensive development of the two countries' relations.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always attaches importance to developing relations with CMTU. Working with CMTU, the delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor informed about the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union, important results in caring for, representing and protecting workers such as participating in developing labor laws, effectively performing the role of a member of the National Wage Council; focusing on dialogue and collective bargaining to improve wages and benefits for workers; results of launching and organizing creative emulation movements among workers.
CMTU's leadership highly appreciated the important significance of the visit of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and shared about the current socio-economic situation as well as the activities of the Mongolian Trade Union.
Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, the two sides agreed to continue strengthening friendship and solidarity cooperation through continuing to exchange high -level delegations and levels; promote industry and local cooperation; Sharing effective operating models, maintaining a regular information consultation mechanism between the two sides and supporting each other on international multilateral forums; Connecting and promoting the effectiveness of cooperation between potential trade unions and localities of the two countries; The two sides also agreed to enhance the cooperation between local trade unions and the equivalent branches of the two countries.
