The new era brings many opportunities and advantages to the Trade Union organization. But the new requirements also pose many difficulties and challenges, requiring the Vietnam Trade Union organization to innovate strongly; requiring each trade union official to have enough knowledge, skills and a heart that beats in sync with the rhythm of workers. In other words, in the journey of representing, caring for, and protecting workers, the image of trade union officials must be a person of the digital age, creative, closely following grassroots practice and willing to share all joys and sorrows with workers. Fortunately, being able to follow and report from the IX Congress to the XIV Congress, the moment the new Executive Committee was launched always leaves an impression. Because those outstanding trade union officials are both proud to be in the Executive Committee and further define their responsibility to the workers.
One of the targets set by the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress is that 100% of trade union officials at all levels are trained and foster in theory, professional skills, and trade union work skills; at least 87% of enterprises and units with trade union organizations are covered by collective labor agreements, 85% organize dialogues at workplaces; 100% of grassroots trade unions in the state sector, at least 85% of grassroots trade unions outside the state sector participate with employers in promulgating and implementing grassroots democracy regulations... These targets once again show the determination of the Trade Union organization in performing the important task of representing and caring for workers, and also show the requirement for innovation, meeting the legitimate needs of workers. In the coming time, it opens up the aspiration to enter the future era with innovative thinking, digital transformation, science and technology, and the pioneering spirit of workers in the new era. They not only work to create material wealth, but are also contributing to creating a more civilized, modern, green, sustainable and happier future for the country. That is both the basis and the goal of striving for both workers and trade union officials.
