Accordingly, the working delegation of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union and the Trade Union of Vietnam Steel Corporation organized a ceremony to attach the "Trade Union Shelter" sign for union member Hoang Van Tran - material loading worker, iron smelting workshop, Viet Trung Mineral and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. (VTM).
Through review, Mr. Hoang Van Tran's family is considered to be in housing difficulties, living for many years in an old wooden house built in 1971 that has seriously deteriorated, with rotten walls and leaking roofs, posing a potential safety risk, especially during the rainy and storm season.
Based on the proposal of the grassroots Trade Union and the consensus of the Executive Committee of VTM Trade Union, the upper-level Trade Union considered and decided to support housing construction costs for Mr. Tran according to the "Trade Union Shelter" program.
On November 18, 2025, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union issued Decision No. 279/QD-CDCT on supporting 50 million VND to build a house for union member Hoang Van Tran. Along with the support of the Trade Union organization, family, relatives and friends, the new house was started at the end of October 2025 and completed at the end of December 2025, with a total project value of nearly 600 million VND. In which, the family has 180 million VND and borrowed an additional 350 million VND to complete the house.
At the new handover ceremony held on the occasion of the upcoming Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2025, Comrade Le An Hai - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union congratulated Mr. Hoang Van Tran's family on having a new spacious, safe, and cozy house; and encouraged the family to continue to strive to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, feel secure in their work, and stick with the unit.
The "Trade Union Home" house is not only material support but also expresses the feelings, responsibility and sharing of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers in difficult circumstances, contributing to adding motivation for workers to rise up in life" - Mr. Le An Hai shared.
