Mr. Le An Hai said that Tet care activities are mainly carried out in grassroots trade unions, towards the grassroots level, focusing on union members and workers (DV, NLD) who are directly producing. In which, priority is given to DV, NLD in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from labor accidents, occupational diseases, dangerous diseases, reduced working hours, job losses, owing salaries and bonuses; DV, NLD belonging to policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the conditions to return to their hometowns for Tet for many years; DV, NLD staying in units and enterprises to work, produce, and do business during Tet; trade union officials and union members moving far due to the organizational structure of the political system at all levels.
The Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Industry and Trade said that economic group trade unions and general corporation trade unions directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Industry and Trade will organize activities such as establishing delegations to visit, give gifts, and wish Tet to union members and workers at enterprises with many union members and workers, enterprises in industrial parks and export processing zones; where enterprises have many workers in difficult circumstances, low incomes, heavily affected by natural disasters,... Units proactively balance trade union financial resources and mobilize social resources to visit, give gifts, and wish Tet to union members and workers. Maximum care level: 1,000,000 VND/person and is paid in cash.
Along with that, the economic group trade union, the general corporation trade union directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Trade, based on actual resources and the needs of union members and workers, coordinate with businesses, employers and local authorities to organize "Trade Union Bus - Spring 2026", "Trade Union Train - Spring 2026" to welcome - bring union members and workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet safely and happily, bearing the strong imprint of the Trade Union organization. Prioritize union members in difficult circumstances or who have not returned to their hometowns for Tet for many years.
At the grassroots trade union level, organize the "Tet Sum vay" program; activities to visit, give gifts, and wish Tet to union members and workers... The grassroots trade union coordinates and mobilizes resources from businesses, local authorities and upper-level trade unions to organize buses, trains, and flights to take and receive workers back to their hometowns for Tet.
Organizing the "Trade Union Year-end Meal" of Binh Ngo Tet 2026 for union members and workers is an opportunity for union members, workers, trade union organizations, employers, government leaders, and localities to share and sympathize, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding, thereby building trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization and businesses. The value of meals in the "Trade Union Year-end Meal" is 70,000 VND/meal from trade union financial sources and the value from business sponsorship or other socialized sources...
Along with that, grassroots trade unions, based on the situation of union members and workers staying at enterprises and localities, not returning to their hometowns for Tet to organize warm, joyful activities, bearing the Trade Union mark. In case there are many union members and workers who do not return to their hometowns for Tet, organize the program "Tet not far from home" or appropriate forms of activities; pay attention to visiting, giving gifts, and organizing Tet for workers in boarding houses or on construction sites and projects before the evening of the 30th of Tet (this year is December 29th of the lunar calendar).
According to Mr. Le An Hai, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union has also just decided to spend 1.788 billion VND - from the financial resources of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances at 70 grassroots trade unions directly under the industry on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. Each union member and worker is supported with 1,000,000 VND.
