On February 9, a working delegation led by Mr. Lam Van Man - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council - as Head of the delegation visited and presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Can Tho City on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Accompanying him were Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City; leaders of Can Tho City People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City and National Assembly deputies of the XV term.
On the side of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, there was Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Lam Van Man said that in the past time, the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have implemented many effective guidelines and policies in socio-economic development, job creation, protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of trade union members and workers; and at the same time paid special attention to caring for the material and spiritual life of the people.
Mr. Man also informed that after more than 7 months of implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational structure and administrative units, the socio-economic situation of Can Tho City continues to develop; jobs, income and lives of workers and people, including My Xuyen ward, have been gradually improved; the urban appearance is increasingly spacious and beautiful.
On this occasion, Mr. Lam Van Man wished the enterprise to continue to innovate management and administration methods; ensure technical safety, labor safety, industrial hygiene; fully implement policies and regimes for employees in accordance with the law. Union members and employees need to well comply with the internal regulations and rules of the unit. People strictly implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, and join hands to build My Xuyen ward to become increasingly civilized and modern.
Mr. Duong Trong Nghia, working at the statistics department, Trade Union of Khanh Sung Co., Ltd., said he was very touched when receiving the gift.
According to Mr. Nghia, in the past year, workers faced many difficulties; Tet is both a longing for reunion and a worry about living expenses. The timely attention and support of leaders has brought warmth and added motivation for workers to feel secure in sticking with their jobs.
At the program, delegates presented 50 gifts to 50 union members and workers in difficult circumstances in My Xuyen ward (Can Tho City).
On the same morning, the working delegation also presented 50 gifts to union members and workers and 100 gifts to ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances in Tran De commune (Can Tho City).
