Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Human Resources Director of Thanh Cong Textile - Investment - Trading Joint Stock Company - also said that the company has a large proportion of exports to the US.
If the US really imposes a 46% tax, it will have a significant impact on the company's production and the employment of employees. However, all activities of the company are still normal and the company continues to have a need to recruit workers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) - said that the proportion of garments exported to the US is about 40%. Currently, businesses are quite excited because the US has delayed the 46% tax rate for 90 days waiting for negotiations. This will be a good time for businesses to seek new markets and restructure to reduce production costs.
"Currently, garment enterprises are operating normally, and no enterprise has stopped recruiting workers. Because if there is no information about the US imposing high taxes, the garment industry is still lacking labor due to high orders," said Ms. Mai.
Shoe businesses recruit thousands of workers
Mr. Cu Phat Nghiep - Chairman of the Trade Union of PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd., a company specializing in processing exported sports shoes - said that all activities of the company are normal. To date, the company continues to need to recruit about 3,000 workers to ensure the company's orders.

Ms. Huynh Thu Ha - Deputy General Director of Lac Ty Company in Binh Tan District, shoe processing expert for Adidas - said that usually the company's orders have been received 6 months to 1 year in advance, so the company is still producing normally. Normally, whenever there is a change in price or a salary increase, the company will discuss with the brand to negotiate prices and will be notified by the brand to ensure jobs and income for employees.
The company is in need of recruiting about 100 workers to compensate for the number of workers who have quit and meet the needs of the company's sample production area that is being implemented. The average income of employees at the company is about 7.5 million VND/person/month.
