Helping workers reduce fatigue at work
Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Trang Bom District) has about 17,000 employees, specializing in leather shoe processing and manufacturing. Mr. Le Nhat Truong, Chairman of the company's Trade Union, said that for many years, the company has always maintained activities for workers to practice 5-10 minutes of on-site music exercises.
According to Mr. Truong, these are all gentle exercise movements that have the effect of relaxing muscles, helping workers reduce fatigue at work, contributing to limiting diseases of varicose veins and cervical vertebrae. Due to the nature of workers having to sit often during work, if not exercised, it can easily lead to the risk of diseases such as back pain, bone and joint diseases... so when exercised, workers' spirit is more comfortable...
Similarly, Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company is a garment company in Dinh Quan district, always caring about the lives of workers by organizing physical exercise right at the factory. Every day, in the middle of work hours, all employees get up to practice 5-10 minutes of musical exercises on the spot. This is an activity that has been maintained in a disciplined manner to improve health, build a civilized and healthy working environment. Thereby, helping employees improve their spirit, regenerate their labor capacity and prevent occupational diseases.
Recently, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated to organize a Yoga practice program for 200 workers at 12 enterprises in Tam Phuoc Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City. At the program, experts guided workers to perform healthy Yoga movements and help workers relax such as controlling breathing, moving limbs, muscles, backs... especially exercises suitable for sitting and standing positions for long periods of work.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y - President of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor - said that this is a very new activity of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor to connect workers together while taking care of the health and well-being of workers.
In addition to exercise exercises, periodic medical examination and treatment programs for employees, the trade union in Dong Nai also organizes many more sports competitions such as: Football, volleyball... for both male and female employees.
Many sports playgrounds for employees
With the goal of comprehensively caring for workers' lives, not only materially but also spiritually, in recent times, the Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Company has always proactively organized many practical and meaningful movement activities.
One of the outstanding activities is the 7-a-side men's football tournament, held from March 24 to April 10, gathering 15 football teams representing workshops and departments in the entire company. The Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Company also organizes tournaments for women's volleyball and men's volleyball for workers...
According to the company's union, this is part of the strategy to care for the spiritual life of employees, one of the key tasks of the company's union, contributing to strengthening trust and motivating employees to feel secure in sticking with and developing long-term with the enterprise.
Trang Bom District Labor Federation also organized the 14th Men's Football Tournament for Workers and Civil Servants in 2025, with the participation of 25 teams with 300 athletes from affiliated grassroots unions and the award ceremony closed on June 1. Ms. Tran Thi Hong Thao, Chairwoman of Trang Bom District Labor Federation, said that the district union hopes that the tournament will create a healthy playground for workers to have a place to exchange and improve their health.
Similarly, to help workers improve their spiritual life, the Bien Hoa City Labor Federation coordinated with the City Culture, Information and Sports Center to organize a Sports Festival for civil servants, public employees and workers in 2025, attracting 1,700 athletes to participate in competitions including: Men's football, tug of war, sack jumping, chess, karaoke singing competition and pickleball.
