Struggling to find opportunities in the midst of the recruitment matrix
The atmosphere at the Hanoi Employment Service Center (215 Trung Kinh, Hanoi City) became more vibrant than usual with the participation of a large number of workers in each trading session. However, behind that bustle are significant concerns and challenges. Especially those who have experience but have difficulty returning to the market.
Mr. Bui Duy Chinh (38 years old), with extensive experience in the field of business management, shared that he has been unemployed for more than 10 months. The reason he left his old company was that the competitive environment was not healthy and no longer suitable for his age. According to Mr. Chinh, the recruitment policies of many companies are creating a big age barrier. He analyzed that businesses prioritizing workers under the age of 35 has caused experienced people, but older than him, to face many disadvantages in the labor market.
Meanwhile, some younger students and workers have a different attitude. Ms. Do Thi Phuong Thao (born in 2002), a software testing engineer, took the initiative to quit her job after more than a year of officially working because she felt her job was no longer in line with the development orientation. Although she admits that the opportunities for new graduates are limited, she is still confident in finding a new position with an expected salary of over 12 million VND.
Discussing the job-hopping trend of young people, Ms. Thao frankly said: "I am young, I have many opportunities, so I should try my hand at many different companies, with many different environments to diversify my experience".
Also present at the center, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Tu (Lieu Giai ward, Hanoi) came to complete procedures to receive unemployment benefits after quitting her job at a fashion company. With 3 years of experience, she hopes to find a new job with a salary of 8-10 million VND.
Enterprises open their doors to welcome, opening up foreign exports
In contrast to the concerns of workers, businesses are in a state of "thirst" for human resources and are ready to offer many attractive compensation policies.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi, human resource specialist of Sigma Technical Joint Stock Company, said that the enterprise is in need of recruiting 50 engineers and 200 technical workers. The salary for engineers can start from 25 million VND, while newly graduated technical workers are also proposed to be salary from 12 million VND. Mr. Hoi emphasized that the company not only welcomes new graduates but also creates opportunities for freelance workers: "We will have opportunities for trained workers to become technicians".
In addition to the domestic market, job opportunities abroad are also expanded.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, Director of Sunrise Viet Nhat Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, said that the demand for labor in markets such as Japan, Korea and Taiwan is very large. The programs are diverse from labor export for high school graduates to engineer recruitment for those with university degrees. Income in Japan can range from 25 to 30 million VND/month. Even those who have just graduated from high school have suitable orders. Ms. Yen said: "Currently, countries such as Taiwan (China), South Korea, and Japan are all lacking labor".
According to Ms. Yen, study abroad programs for both studying and working are also a potential choice, helping students to cover their own expenses and accumulate international experience. The job fair showed a panoramic picture of the current labor market: supply and demand are both large, but for both sides to meet requires connection efforts and flexibility from both businesses and workers.
