The political report of the Da Nang City Labor Federation at the first Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030 said: During the past term, the empowerment, care for, and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of the Da Nang Trade Union organization has achieved positive and comprehensive results.
"Detecting this as the most important task of the organization, therefore, in recent years, Da Nang trade unions at all levels have proactively innovated and improved the quality of participation in giving comments, developing policies and laws directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers and civil servants and trade union activities" - Mr. Le Van Dai - Permanent Vice President of Da Nang City Labor Federation said.
During the past term, contact and dialogue in policy and law making has always been of interest through active activities of advising the National Assembly Delegation, People's Councils, heads of Party committees and authorities to organize contact and dialogue with voters who are workers.
Trade unions at all levels proactively participate with authorities and sectors at the same level in developing mechanisms, policies, rules, regulations, salary payment plans, labor norms, etc. in localities, units, and enterprises to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in the secretariat, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Grassroots trade unions at all levels focus on implementing solutions to implement democracy at the grassroots level, promote the mastery of union members and workers to prevent and participate in effectively resolving labor disputes, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
In the 2023-2025 period, the Da Nang Trade Union has promptly detected and handled 9 collective labor disputes. Suing 2 enterprises that owe wages
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, every year, 100% of state agencies and public service units organize conferences for cadres, civil servants and employees; 55% of enterprises organize conferences for employees, 80% organize dialogues at the workplace.
To date, 86.9% of units and enterprises have signed collective labor agreements, higher than the national average and 37% of collective labor agreements have been rated and classified as having achieved type B or higher.
Legal consulting and legal support activities for union members and workers are focused on, specifically, trade unions at all levels participate with the government in resolving policies for 104 union members and workers.
Specifically, the Da Nang City Labor Federation has represented, authorized, and participated in the litigation to protect the rights of 104 workers in suing 2 enterprises that have owed wages and long-term insurance benefits. As a result, the two enterprises paid more than 2.99 billion VND to the workers.
