Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center (DVVL) - said that the recruitment demand of businesses always fluctuates according to the market.
"In August and September, the demand for unskilled labor recruitment was higher than that of qualified workers. The enterprise will base on the production and business plan to make different recruitment requirements for each segment," Mr. Thanh analyzed.
Going deeper into each group, it can be seen that the demand for unskilled labor is increasingly focusing on core and practical factors. Enterprises in the fields of production, construction or services currently prioritize health. This is considered the most important "pass ticket" for workers to be able to meet the work intensity at factories, production lines or construction works.
According to Mr. Thanh, in addition to general requirements, employers mainly focus on the suitable age and physical fitness of candidates.
"For unskilled workers, the main requirement is still to ensure good health to perform the work assigned by the enterprise. That is the most important factor," he emphasized.
Experience can be a plus point, but it is not a big barrier, because most skills will be trained directly when entering work.
Mr. Thanh also said that for the group of workers with completely different qualifications. A graduation certificate is no longer enough to ensure a job position in the eyes of employers. Businesses expect candidates to not only have basic knowledge but also possess in-depth professional skills, practical experience and most importantly, the ability to keep up with the times and take on work immediately. They need personnel who can create immediate value without spending a lot of time and money on retraining.
"Workers with qualifications are required to be much more strict, from professional knowledge to related skills, so that when approaching job positions, they can immediately take on the best. Enterprises need people who can do the work around that position in accordance with the requirements," said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh.
