Recently, many workers of Sao Vang Company Limited have petitioned the Trade Union at all levels about implementing some allowance regimes at enterprises that are still low compared to enterprises in the same industry, leading to improved income and life of workers.
In response to the workers' recommendations, on July 14, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation had a meeting with business leaders and grassroots unions to resolve the workers' recommendations, avoiding prolongation leading to collective work stoppages.
Through discussion and negotiation, Golden Star Company Limited has issued a notice to increase 5 allowances. Of which, the allowance for special needs was previously applied at 170,000 VND for cadres, 150 VND for workers, now increased to 270,000 VND for cadres, 250,000 VND for workers (an increase of 100,000 VND/month). The life allowance increased by 130,000 VND (from 170,000 VND to 300,000 VND). The shift allowance is from VND 23,000 to VND 25,000 (increased by VND 2,000/ shift, VND 52,000/person/month).
The previous lowest seniority bonus of 20,000-280,000 VND is now increased by 50,000-450,000 VND (average increase of 100,000 VND/person/month). The company also agreed to increase the lucky money from 50,000 VND to 100,000 VND/time, 4 times a year. After adjustment, on average, workers are paid an additional 400,000 VND per month. The application period is from July 1, 2025.
In addition, the company also announced that the adjustment period and basic salary adjustment level will be according to state regulations, expected to increase in January 2026.
According to the representative of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, timely dialogue as well as quick adjustment by business owners basically meet the recommendations of employees. Thereby, ensuring harmonious labor relations, limiting prolonged petitions leading to collective work stoppages.
