The conference announced the decision of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union on the establishment of the Hai Phong City Women's Union on the basis of merging the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union and the Hai Phong City Women's Union, including Women's Unions of communes, wards, special zones and equivalents, members, member organizations (if any) of the Women's Union of the two localities before the merger.
At the conference, the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union announced the decision to appoint 39 comrades to the Executive Committee of the City Women's Union, of which 13 comrades will join the Standing Committee of the Union for the 2021-2026 term.
At the same time, the Central Association also appointed Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of Hai Phong City for the 2021-2026 term. Ms. Dang Thi Phuong Lien and Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Hai were appointed to hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Association.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union - acknowledged and highly appreciated the organization, proactiveness and responsibility of the Hai Phong City Women's Union in implementing the new organizational model.
The President of the Vietnam Women's Union suggested that in the coming time, the City Women's Union continue to complete the Working Regulations, improve the organization of the Union in residential areas, urgently develop an action program to complete the targets and tasks for the last 6 months of the year, as well as the tasks set before the merger.
The Association is interested in effectively implementing activities to express gratitude and support to meritorious people and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers on the occasion of the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27 and National Day on September 2. At the same time, develop a plan to organize the Congress of the Women's Union at the commune, ward and special zone levels to be completed before October 1, 2025; organize the City Women's Union Congress before December 31, 2025. In addition, actively contribute opinions to the draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives; focus on the work of discovering, training, and introducing qualified, capable, and prestigious female cadres to participate in personnel of Party Congresses at all levels, candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th National Assembly, and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Also at the conference, the City Women's Union announced the decision to establish and appoint the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Women's Union of 114 wards, communes and special zones in the city.
