Demand for labor recruitment increases
Representatives of the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Home Affairs said that there are more than 50 businesses that need recruitment after Tet, with a total number of workers to be recruited of more than 21,000 people.
Some businesses have a large recruitment demand such as: NY Hoa Viet Co., Ltd. recruits 3,000 workers; S&H Vina Co., Ltd. recruits 2,000 workers; Tsun Tat Vietnam Toys Co., Ltd. recruits 1,000 workers; HUG Co., Ltd. recruits 1,000 workers; Hongzhan International Industry Co., Ltd. recruits 1,000 workers; South Asia Knitwear Limited Co., Ltd. recruits 700 workers...
According to a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Home Affairs, in response to the labor recruitment needs of businesses at the beginning of the year, to support connecting labor supply and demand, solving employment and developing the labor market in the area, the department has requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to pay attention to large enterprises that use a lot of labor, and regularly collect and update recruitment needs of enterprises.
Along with that, the People's Committees of communes and wards direct professional departments, villages, and residential groups to coordinate with businesses to widely announce recruitment needs to people.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Employment Service Center is also responsible for coordinating with localities and businesses to promote the organization of direct and online job transaction sessions; consulting and introducing jobs; providing free labor market information in communes and wards in the province. In which, priority is given to areas with high recruitment demand in 2026, in order to ensure timely labor supply, meeting the production and business needs of businesses, especially units that are lacking labor.
Attracting workers to stay in their hometowns to work
Also according to a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Home Affairs, on average in previous years, there were about 25,000 workers from other provinces and cities returning to their hometowns for Tet. After Tet, about 5,000 people stayed in their localities to work. However, to date, the number of people deciding to stay in their hometowns after Tet tends to increase, ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 people.
The reason why many workers choose to stay in their hometowns to work is because businesses in the locality are constantly developing and expanding production, with stable salaries and many good benefits for workers. In particular, working in their hometowns also creates conditions for workers to stay closer to their families, reducing many additional costs such as renting houses and travel compared to working in distant provinces" - a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Home Affairs shared.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Quang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd., at Le Mon Industrial Park, Quang Phu ward, Thanh Hoa province - said that at the beginning of 2026, the company has a recruitment demand of about 1,000 workers for 2 facilities. In which, facility 2 alone has a recruitment demand of about 600 workers.
Through records, this year's labor recruitment took place quite smoothly. At facility 2 in Hoang Phu commune, after the recruitment announcement, many workers came to submit applications. In just 2 days, the company has basically completed the recruitment" - Mr. Quang said.
Also according to Mr. Quang, in recent years, the labor market in Thanh Hoa has been quite vibrant. One of the reasons is that many workers have shifted from unstable professions such as agriculture and freelance labor to working at factories and enterprises to have stable income, participate in insurance and ensure a better life.
