On the afternoon of July 17, the Emulation Block of Trade Unions of Corporations and General Corporations directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organized a conference to summarize activities in the first 6 months of the year, deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026 and a thematic workshop "Organizing the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income in the period 2026–2031".
Attending the Conference were Comrade Le Van Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tam, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, Head of the Emulation Block; Comrade Do Duc Hung, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, Deputy Head of the Emulation Block; along with leaders of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, Vietnam Rubber Trade Union, Vietnam National Coal - Minerals Trade Union, Vietnam National Energy Industry Group Trade Union, Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union and Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union.
Preparing financial resources to take care of Tet and care for workers
In the first 6 months of 2026, trade union levels have coordinated with professional departments to build and supervise the implementation of policies related to workers (NLĐ). The work of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers on holidays, Tet, Workers' Month, Action Month on OSH, and social security work has been concerned by the Trade Union in the emulation bloc, coordinated with professional departments to implement well, thoughtfully, and effectively.
Emulation movements associated with innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation are being deeply implemented. In addition, units in the Emulation Block all organized the launch and implementation of the emulation movement "Good Labor - High Productivity - Good Income" in the period 2026 - 2031 with tasks and solutions suitable to the production and business conditions of each industry and field, creating a vibrant atmosphere, enhancing the spirit of creative emulation, promoting the application of information technology, administrative reform, and improving the quality of emulation movements...
From now until the end of 2026, the Emulation Block of Trade Unions of Corporations and General Corporations directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour continues to strengthen the work of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promote dialogue and negotiation, improve the quality and rate of Collective Labor Agreements with content higher than the provisions of law. Deploy and organize well the activities "Month of listening to union members and workers speak".
Promote, deploy and effectively implement the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; the movement "Promoting research and development of information technology application and promoting initiatives and technical improvements; practicing thrift and combating wastefulness" according to the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, contributing to improving labor productivity and business production efficiency of the unit.
Organize practical activities to care for benefits and welfare for union members and workers, prepare financial resources to care for workers during the Dinh Mui Lunar New Year 2027; promptly support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with dangerous diseases, and injured in labor accidents.
Continue to focus on implementing the program to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions associated with improving the quality of grassroots trade union activities; promote the introduction of outstanding union members for the Party to consider and foster admission.
Promoting the application of science and technology, artificial intelligence
At the thematic workshop "Organizing the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income in the period 2026–2031", delegates focused on exchanging many solutions to innovate the content and methods of organizing the emulation movement; building a system of evaluation criteria suitable to the specific characteristics of each industry and profession; linking emulation results with productivity, quality, work efficiency and income of employees; promoting the application of science and technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation in production.
Many opinions agreed that the emulation movement only has real vitality when it originates from practical requirements at the grassroots level, taking workers as the center, taking productivity and efficiency as measures, and at the same time promptly detecting, praising, and rewarding collectives and individuals who directly work and produce.
Speaking to direct at the Conference, Comrade Le Van Nghia, Vice President of the VGCL, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results of units in the Emulation Block.
From now until the end of the year, Vice Chairman Le Van Nghia requested trade unions in the bloc to urgently concretize the Resolution of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress, associated with improving the efficiency of trade union organizations after arrangement. In which, direct trade union levels to widely disseminate to union members and workers video propaganda of the Resolution of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress (constructed by AI); improve the quality of representation, care, and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; deploy the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" in a specific, substantive direction, suitable for each industry and each enterprise; improve the quality of activities of the emulation bloc, innovate emulation, commendation and trade union governance.
