Trade unions towards grassroots levels
On July 6, Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union said that it had just commended 10 grassroots trade unions with outstanding achievements in implementing Workers' Month 2026.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Thong Nhat Ward commended and rewarded 10 grassroots trade unions with many outstanding achievements in implementing activities to respond to Workers' Month with the theme "Gia Lai Workers: Innovation and creativity, improving labor productivity".
The units commended include: Grassroots Trade Union of Dakrasa Hydropower Joint Stock Company, Gia Lai Printing - Education Development Investment Joint Stock Company, Trung Kien Co., Ltd., Hospital 331;
Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Company, Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Saigon - Pleiku Water Supply Joint Stock Company, Chu Pah Medical Center, Ia Grai Medical Center and ELECEM Cement One Member Limited Company.
According to the Standing Committee of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union, in response to Workers' Month 2026, trade union levels have implemented many practical activities towards grassroots levels, focusing on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Propaganda work has been promoted with 65 news articles and reports published in press agencies and media platforms, contributing to spreading the meaning of Workers' Month throughout society.
The highlight of the series of activities is the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 with the participation of more than 300 delegates.
On this occasion, the Ward Trade Union presented 14 gifts, each worth 1.5 million VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and supported 2 million VND for a union member who suffered a labor accident, with a total care cost of 23 million VND.
Along with social security activities, the Ward Trade Union coordinated with Cao Nguyen Eye Hospital to organize free examination, screening and consultation on eye diseases for 218 turns of union members and workers.
The 2026 Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival attracted more than 150 athletes to participate, awarded 22 prizes to collectives and individuals with high achievements; and established 4 football teams to participate in the Gia Lai Provincial Workers' Men's Football Tournament, contributing to improving cultural and spiritual life and strengthening the solidarity between union members and workers.
In organization building work, the Ward Trade Union continued to record many outstanding results when newly admitting 186 union members, reaching 232.5% of the target assigned by the Provincial Labor Federation; establishing 5 new grassroots trade unions, reaching 250% of the target.
Along with that, 18 outstanding union members were introduced to the Party for consideration and training, of which 4 union members were admitted to the Party.
Spreading emulation movement
Through patriotic emulation movements, good labor, creative labor, many collectives and individuals have been recognized and rewarded at all levels.
Grassroots trade unions directly under it have organized many activities such as "Trade Union Meals", health check-ups, sports festivals, sightseeing, rest, visits, gifts to union members in difficult circumstances and gratitude programs for workers, attracting 1,511 turns of union members and workers to participate.
Notably, 100% of grassroots trade unions in the non-business sector, state-owned enterprises and 26 grassroots trade unions in the non-state enterprise sector in the area organized activities to respond to Workers' Month.
Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union - said: "Workers' Month 2026 has created a strong spread throughout the trade union system, with many practical activities aimed at union members and workers.
The results achieved are the attention of the Party Committee and government, the companionship of businesses and especially the proactive and creative spirit of grassroots trade unions.
