Attending were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); representatives of leaders of central industry trade unions.
After rearranging the emulation clusters and blocks of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the emulation blocks of central industry trade unions are merged on the basis of emulation block No. 1 (Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, Vietnam Construction Trade Union, Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union, Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union) and emulation block No. 2 (People's Police Trade Union, Vietnam Health Trade Union, Vietnam Education Trade Union, National Defense Trade Union). Currently, 9 central industry trade unions manage 3,570 grassroots trade unions with over 889,000 union members.
Trade union activities in 2025 of units of the Central Sector Trade Union emulation bloc have closely followed the key tasks of ministries, sectors, fields and directions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Trade union levels focus on performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Emulation movements continue to be promoted; trade union organizations are consolidated in the direction of streamlining, efficiency, and application of science and technology in trade union activities are being implemented.
Regarding care and social security, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, units in the Bloc organized support and visit activities for more than 144,960 union members and workers with a total amount of over 112.2 billion VND, implemented the "Trade Union Tet Market" program, and supported people affected by natural disasters and storms...
Regarding the organization of activities for Workers' Month, Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2025, units in the Bloc organized Trade Union Meals and many meaningful programs such as: "Creative Workers, confidently stepping into the new era", "May Dialogue", "Creative Labor Day"...; Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; 9 central industry trade unions introduced the development of party members and workers, and as a result, 33,750 new union members were developed, 65 new grassroots trade unions were established, 8,693 outstanding union members were introduced, and 6,226 new Party members were admitted.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen - Chairman of the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union said that in the coming time, the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union will promote innovation emulation, improve the quality of the staff and optimize system management in the new situation. “Trade union activities must be closely linked to professional tasks, towards the goal of sustainable agricultural and rural development to maximize efficiency and create substantive value for workers,” Mr. Xuyen said.
Speaking to direct the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour acknowledged and praised the efforts and outstanding results that the Block units achieved in 2025.
2026 is a great opportunity for us to break through. I propose that you comrades need to prepare a proactive mindset, turn resolutions into specific action programs, take the effectiveness of the emulation movement as a measure for the development of the organization and the interests of workers. I propose that you comrades in the coming time prepare well to promote the emulation movement, towards practical activities," Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Huynh Thanh Xuan directed.
At the Conference, the signing ceremony of the 2026 emulation agreement took place; expressing gratitude and giving gifts to former Chairmen and former Vice Chairmen of Central Sector Trade Unions.
