Touched to receive early Tet gifts
At the program, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and leaders of Bac Giang province presented 200 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances (each gift includes 1 million VND and a gift worth 300,000 VND).
As one of the workers who received gifts, Ms. Dong Thi Cam Ly (born in 2005) expressed her emotion and gratitude for the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, and Trade Union. Unmarried, Ms. Dong Thi Cam Ly is living with her parents. Her mother is a farmer, her father is self-employed, and the family is still in difficult circumstances. She had to spend most of her salary to help her parents pay off the loan when building a house in 2018. "I am very happy and touched to receive an early Tet gift. I will use the gift money to send to my mother to buy Tet; the gift will be for my family to use during this Tet holiday" - the female worker shared.
Ms. Ly’s colleague, Ms. Chu Thi Huyen, said that she will use the gift money to buy new clothes for her two children to wear during Tet. Currently, her total income is about 7-8 million VND/month. Her husband does not have a stable job; the whole family depends on her salary, so life is still difficult and lacking.
Mr. Trinh Quang Hieu - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union said that the event of leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directly coming to give Tet gifts at the company is a source of pride and great encouragement to all employees and staff of the company.
"The Trade Union will continue to accompany the enterprise to achieve even higher results in production, increase income, and take better care of union members and employees of the company" - the Trade Union Chairman shared.
Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company specializes in manufacturing garments for export. The company currently employs more than 6,000 workers in many factories, of which the main facility in Lang Giang district has 4,300 workers. The average income of workers is more than 10 million VND/person/month.
Increasing workers' income
In his New Year greetings to businesses and workers, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged and expressed his joy at the achievements that the company's leadership and workers have achieved in recent times. Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh hopes that the company's leaders and workers will continue to develop the company in the direction that the company has determined, exporting more and more quality products to demanding markets, thereby increasing the income of workers, contributing to the country entering a new era.
The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has for many years had the initiative to organize Tet Sum Vay in industrial parks, where there are many workers, to take care of Tet for union members and workers. Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited and presented Tet gifts to policy families and poor households in Lang Giang district.
* A delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam led by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong visited and presented Tet gifts to meritorious people, workers and poor households in Son Dong district, Bac Giang. The State Bank presented 500 gifts and 1 billion VND to support social security, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 100 gifts to workers in this district.
* On January 19, attending the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party in 2025" organized by the Labor Federation of Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province), Mr. Ta Van Ha - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education - presented 100 gifts to 100 workers in difficult circumstances. Each gift includes 1,000,000 VND and a gift worth 300,000 VND.
