400 thousand union members and workers are taken care of by the Union during Tet
Reporting at the Conference, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi said that the whole province currently has more than 125,400 people with revolutionary contributions, of which nearly 16,400 people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of people with revolutionary contributions are receiving monthly allowances, with a total amount of nearly 38 billion VND/month.
Every year, Bac Ninh province spends over 100 billion VND to implement the province's own specific policies on incentives and care for people with revolutionary contributions.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Bac Ninh plans to visit and present gifts to nearly 55,600 meritorious people and social protection beneficiaries; organize delegations to visit and present gifts to localities of the province and units caring for war invalids, social assistance facilities, with a total budget of 51.4 billion VND. On average, businesses give Tet bonuses to employees of about 7.7 million VND/person, of which the highest bonus is 219 million VND/person in the private enterprise sector.
Since the beginning of January 2025, all levels of the Trade Union in the province have simultaneously organized activities to take care of Tet for union members and workers. It is expected that the whole province will have nearly 400,000 union members and workers being cared for by the Trade Union during Tet, with a total budget of 121 billion VND, an increase of 78% compared to 2024.
Dedicate resources to take care of workers and families with preferential policies.
Expressing his impression of the socio-economic development results of Bac Ninh in recent times, with many indicators ranking among the top in the country, the locality currently has no poor households... Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long highly appreciated the province's attention and preparation for Tet with policy beneficiaries, mobilizing diverse resources and support methods.
"The province has promptly and seriously implemented Directive 40 of the Secretariat and Directive 45 of the Prime Minister on the work of welcoming the Lunar New Year 2025," said Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to pay attention and devote resources to taking care of union members, workers, families with meritorious services, and families in difficult circumstances, so that everyone and every family can celebrate the traditional Tet holiday in a warm, peaceful, and safe manner, ensuring that everyone has Tet and no one is left behind.
For workers and laborers, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that everyone will put aside the worries of daily life to reunite happily and warmly with their families. The Deputy Prime Minister also reminded workers and laborers to strictly follow regulations on social order and safety, obey traffic laws to ensure safety for themselves, their families and the community, return to work after Tet on time, and maintain productivity and quality.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 400 gifts to policy beneficiaries, people with revolutionary contributions, families, workers in difficult circumstances and social protection beneficiaries in the province.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long presented gifts to beneficiaries at Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center; visited the construction site of Hanoi Law University, Campus 2 in Bac Ninh.
