On May 8, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and the working delegation visited and encouraged union members and workers working on oil and gas rigs in the open sea. Accompanying him were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice Chairman of the VGCL; leaders of the Group and Petrovietnam Trade Union.
The destinations are key projects in the oil and gas exploitation, transportation, and treatment chain of the Vietnam - Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro, a member unit of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam), contributing to maintaining output and ensuring national energy security.
At the destinations, the working delegation visited working and living conditions and grasped the thoughts and aspirations of workers working at sea.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of disciplined and creative labor of Vietsovpetro's staff, engineers, and workers in the special working conditions offshore. The persistent and silent efforts of workers have made important contributions to the overall success of the energy industry, and at the same time continued to affirm the core role of the Petrovietnam Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the rights of workers.

In the context of the energy industry undergoing strong shifts, offshore oil and gas projects still play a pillar role, ensuring stable energy supply. The Trade Union organization will always accompany workers to feel secure in their work, promote capacity, and contribute to the sustainable development of Petrovietnam and the country in general.
On this occasion, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan also presented gifts to encourage workers working on oil rigs, showing the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization with the labor force working in the open sea. Thereby, promptly encouraging the spirit and adding motivation for the contingent of officials and employees of the oil and gas industry to continue to firmly stick to the sea and successfully complete the assigned tasks.
