Happy workers
After nearly 13 years of working in the production line, for Ms. Le Thi Truong Thanh - a 5, 5, MSV Company Limited, going to the factory every day is a meaningful journey. That happiness seemed to be multiplied when she was recently honored as one of the 26 "Excellent Workers" of the company. The bonus of 500,000 VND in cash and the increase of 300,000 VND in basic salary, although not large, are worthy recognition for her many years of silent efforts.
Working, being dedicated and being recognized - that is the motivation for me to continue to stick with, Ms. Thanh shared.
At Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, the story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh - Captain of Garment House 1 - is a testament to the maturity of the trust of the enterprise. From an ordinary garment worker, she has risen to become a pioneer in improving the process, shortening production time by 30%. Before, I only knew how to complete tasks. Now I understand that I can do more if I am given the opportunity to promote, she said emotionally.
For Ms. Oanh, happiness does not only come from personal achievements, but also very everyday things: full meals, laughter during overtime, or cozy birthday parties held right at the workshop. That is the feeling of peace when knowing that every day at the factory is a useful day, and to live in an environment of love and sharing.
Trade unions and businesses together create a happy environment
The happiness of workers cannot be separated from the companionship of enterprises and trade unions. In recent years, many businesses in Hue City have made efforts to improve working conditions, increase income and spiritual life for workers.
Mr. Furuta Shinya - General Director of MSV Company Limited - affirmed: "We consider employees as the most valuable asset. When workers have a good life, they will work with a more relaxed and effective spirit".
Maintaining the title of "Excellent Worker" for the past 3 years at MSV is part of the strategy to encourage solidarity, responsibility and innovation of workers.
Not only stopping at salary and bonus policies, many businesses also build a humane internal culture: Organizing free tours, organizing group gatherings at workshops, giving gifts during holidays.
At Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, each worker is cared for like a family member. Many people celebrate birthdays for the first time in their lives. Those emotional tears speak for everything, said Mr. Nguyen Tien Hau - Deputy General Director of the company. From 2025, the company will also adjust overtime, no more than one hour/day and at least two days/week to be home before 4:30 p.m., helping workers have more time to take care of their families while still ensuring income.
Accompanying businesses is the Trade Union organization with a series of practical programs such as "Workers' Month", "Union Shelter", "Union Members' Agreement", periodic dialogues or emergency support. These activities have become a spiritual support for thousands of workers.
A typical example is Mr. Truong Van Thiet - a worker at Vitto Hue Company Limited, who was moved when the Hue City Labor Federation supported him with 40 million VND to build a "Union Shelter".
"Having land but not daring to dream of building a house. Thanks to this valuable support, we dare to borrow more to build a family and work with peace of mind, Mr. Thiet shared.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet - Permanent Vice President of the Hue City Labor Federation - said that comprehensive care for workers both materially and spiritually is the most practical way to contribute to building a happy, committed and developing labor force with businesses. Every year, tens of thousands of union members and workers are cared for and supported with a total value of tens of billions of VND.
When workers are cared for, listened to and created development conditions, it is not only an investment for people - but also a solid foundation for businesses to develop sustainably in the future.
