On July 22, the Da Nang City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a program to commend, reward and award scholarships to children of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ) who achieved excellent results and overcame difficulties to rise up in their studies in the 2025-2026 school year. This is an annual activity with profound humanity to accompany and elevate the young generation before the new school year.
Within the framework of the program, before entering the official commendation ceremony, 142 students with outstanding achievements and representatives of students receiving scholarships to overcome difficulties solemnly participated in the Reporting ceremony to offer to Uncle Ho at the Cultural House of Military Region 5 (Da Nang city).
Before the spirit of the great President Ho Chi Minh, representatives of students who are children of union members and workers expressed their deep gratitude, reported on their outstanding achievements in studying and training in the past school year and promised to continue striving to become good children, good students, and useful people for society.
In this year's program, the Da Nang City Labor Federation has allocated nearly 490 million VND to award 437 scholarships to students. Each scholarship includes 1 million VND in cash, certificates and a practical gift.
Specifically, the Organizing Committee awarded scholarships to 142 excellent students who won high prizes at international exams, national high school excellent student exams and won first prizes in the 12th and 9th grade excellent student exams at the city level. At the same time, 295 overcoming difficulties scholarships were awarded to students who are children of workers and employees in particularly difficult circumstances, who know how to rise up and achieve good and excellent academic results.
For students who cannot attend and receive scholarships directly at the ceremony, the City Labor Federation will transfer these funds to the grassroots trade union to organize the handover to them at agencies, units, and businesses.
Also at the program, the Da Nang City Labor Federation symbolically presented 20 sets of reading pens for English learning (accompanied by a set of digital technology books) to children of union members in difficult circumstances. This is a practical gift within the program of allocating 200 sets of pens by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for children of workers in Da Nang (out of a total of 7,000 sets of pens donated nationwide on the occasion of the Action Month for Children in 2026). The remaining reading pens will soon be sent to grassroots trade unions to organize timely donations to children before entering the new school year.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City Labor Federation - affirmed that the work of caring for and educating preschools and the young generation is always the core and consistent task of the city's trade union levels. Supporting and rewarding union members' children is not only a spiritual encouragement but also contributes to helping parents who are workers and laborers feel secure in production and become closer to the Trade Union organization.
