Big meaning
Ms. Tran Thi Na - a rubber latex mining worker at Kien Giang Forestry Branch, Long Dai Industrial Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. is one of thousands of workers receiving support from the Trade Union organization. For her, the gift is a real comfort in the midst of countless difficulties to make a living.
The feeling of not being forgotten, especially when work is hard and life is lacking. When I received that gift, I felt warm and motivated to continue to stick together. For a worker like me, a greeting is more valuable than money, Ms. Na confided.
Not only Ms. Na, many workers in fields such as wood processing, tourism, textiles, non-public education, etc. have also received support from programs such as "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ket Ket", "Worker's Month", or through gift-giving activities, health check-ups, and building houses "Union Shelter". The presence of trade unions when union members are most needed has been strongly strengthening the role of organizations in workers' lives.
Nearly 5.8 billion VND in hand of workers
According to Chairwoman of the Quang Binh Labor Federation Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan, in the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels have supported a total of more than VND5.775 billion for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor directly spent more than 4.1 billion VND to support 7,390 cases.
In addition, there are a series of caring activities such as building new and repairing 80 "Union Shelters" worth more than 2.82 billion VND.
These figures not only demonstrate the effectiveness of the activities of the Trade Union organization, but are also concrete evidence showing the sense of responsibility and accompanying role of the trade union in the context of restructuring enterprises, workers' lives are still fluctuating.
The Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor shared: The more the organizational apparatus is being reorganized, the more clearly the trade union must demonstrate its representative role, provide real care, and protect the workers. We are determined not to leave anyone behind.
Looking back over the past 6 months, trade unions at all levels in Quang Binh have not only cared for, but also performed well in their representative role with outstanding results: There have been 20 newly signed Collective Labor Agreements; 73.89% of enterprises have organized periodic dialogues at the workplace; no collective work stoppages have occurred in the area. All are thanks to the initiative, creativity and responsibility of union cadres at all levels.
Entering the last 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor has identified 12 key targets, focusing on improving the quality of collective bargaining, handling social insurance debts, promoting legal consultancy, preparing for the 2026 Tet Sum Vay, and implementing a project to reorganize district-level trade unions in a streamlined and efficient manner. Along with that are a series of strategic tasks such as digital transformation, internal administrative reform, merging industry unions, streamlining the apparatus while still maintaining the quality of service for union members.
Union must be the support and voice of workers, especially during times of many fluctuations. Every gift, every policy, every companionship is a commitment not to leave workers alone, Ms. Ngoc Lan emphasized.
