On the afternoon of February 1st, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) held a ceremony to inaugurate and affix the sign of the Smart Grid Construction Project in Con Dao Special Zone.
Mr. Luan Quoc Hung - Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC - said that EVNHCMC has focused highly on resources and human resources to shorten the construction time of the smart grid of Con Dao Special Zone in 7 areas: Monitoring and control; Managing power supply reliability and power loss; Data analysis; Integrating distributed sources; Green energy; Security and Privacy and Customer empowerment and satisfaction.
Mr. Pham Quoc Bao - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Member Council of EVNHCMC - emphasized: The smart grid project in Con Dao is a vivid proof of the concretization of the guidelines and resolutions of the Party, Government and Ho Chi Minh City on developing the Con Dao Special Zone; showing high political determination in investing in synchronous modern energy infrastructure, contributing to gradually building Con Dao into a smart marine economic - ecological special zone, green and sustainable development.
The completion and commissioning of the smart grid project has made an important contribution to improving the reliability of power supply, optimizing the management and operation of the power grid; reducing power loss, saving resources; creating favorable conditions for the development of renewable energy, directly serving the green growth and sustainable development goals of the Con Dao Special Zone.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - commented that this smart grid project is of particular importance, being the next milestone in the process of investing in synchronous strategic infrastructure development for Con Dao.
This project clearly demonstrates the specificity of major resolutions of the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City on developing modern energy infrastructure, digital transformation and green growth; at the same time, it affirms Ho Chi Minh City's consistent policy of paying special, long-term and comprehensive attention to Con Dao, an area with a very special position in terms of history, politics, national defense - security, ecology and marine economic development.
On this occasion, the EVNHCMC Trade Union organized the affixing of emulation signs at the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation level to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, and at the same time commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the process of building smart power grids in the Con Dao Special Zone.
