The program took place on the morning of June 1st at the headquarters of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation. The delegation of Bac Ninh province attending the Congress included 30 official delegates led by Comrade Thach Van Chung, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.
Among them, there are 29 delegates from Bac Ninh province and 1 delegate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor living with the delegation. These are all typical trade union officials, making many contributions in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; actively innovating the content and methods of operation, building strong trade union organizations and effectively launching patriotic emulation movements among workers.
Before attending the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation organized to thoroughly grasp the contents, programs, and regulations of the Congress; orienting delegates to carefully study documents, prepare opinions for presentations, reflect the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers and the practical activities of trade unions in the province.
The 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress will take place from June 3 to 5 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), with the participation of 780 official delegates representing more than 12 million trade union members nationwide. The Congress will focus on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; determining goals, directions, and tasks for the 2026-2031 term; discussing major topics on representing, caring for, and protecting workers; developing union members, building trade union organizations; innovating trade union finance work, propaganda work, women's work and emulation movements among workers. The Congress will also consider and approve important documents and elect the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.
According to the plan, the delegation of Bac Ninh provincial trade unions will fully attend the contents of the Congress and participate in all 5 discussion centers with 7 speeches; contributing to reflecting the results, experiences and proposals from the practical trade union activities of the locality.
Speaking to assign tasks to the delegation, Comrade Tran Huy Phuong emphasized that the Congress is an important political event of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization, taking place in the context of the country entering a new stage of development with increasing requirements for renovating the organizational structure, improving the quality of human resources and national competitiveness.
The comrade requested delegates to promote the spirit of responsibility, strictly comply with the program and regulations of the Congress; actively research, participate in discussions, and contribute many heartfelt and quality opinions to documents and major issues of the trade union organization in the next term.
Each delegate needs to clearly show the role of representing the voice and aspirations of union members and workers in Bac Ninh; and at the same time proactively exchange and learn good models and effective ways of doing things from localities and units across the country to apply to the practical trade union activities of the province," Comrade Tran Huy Phuong emphasized.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested the delegation to pay attention to reflecting the outstanding results and practical experiences from the workers' movement and trade union activities of Bac Ninh; propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the new situation.
Emphasizing that Bac Ninh is striving to become a centrally-run city, a center of electronics and high technology industry of the whole country, the comrade wished the delegates to continue to promote the image of Bac Ninh's cultured, revolutionary homeland and dynamic, creative, and responsible Bac Ninh workers, contributing to affirming the position and contribution of the provincial trade union organization to the overall development of the country.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 20 gifts with the meaning of welcoming the Congress, showing concern and encouragement for union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases in the province.
