Among these, 414 facilities are put up for auction in their original state to effectively exploit public assets and limit prolonged abandonment.
According to the approved plan, in addition to the original 414 auction facilities, 6 facilities will be handed over to localities and units for use; 5 facilities will be transferred to the Da Nang Housing Management and Exploitation Center for management; the remaining 14 facilities are proposed to convert functions to serve the fields of health, education, culture or other public purposes.
Most of these public housing and land facilities are old headquarters, schools, health stations, cultural houses and public land funds after merging administrative units or after agencies are relocated and rearranged. The facilities being auctioned are mainly schools, educational institutions and office buildings scattered in many communes and wards in the city, concentrated in many communes belonging to the old Quang Nam province.
Da Nang City People's Committee requests that the management and exploitation of public housing and land funds must ensure publicity, transparency, and compliance with legal regulations on land, public assets and asset auctions. The city also emphasized the requirement to prevent the degradation, encroachment or misuse of facilities that have not been exploited.
According to the plan, the City Land Fund Development Center will continue to review legal documents, current status of use, planning and assets on land to complete the auction procedures for each establishment. While waiting for auction or without a final handling decision, eligible establishments will be leased for a short term to avoid loss and waste of public assets.
