On March 4, at the U Minh Thuong District Multi-purpose Gymnasium (Kien Giang), the District Labor Federation (LDLD) coordinated with the District Culture, Sports and Radio and Television Center to organize a Women's Volleyball Tournament for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of grassroots unions under the District Labor Federation.
Chairman of the U Minh Thuong District Labor Federation - Mr. Le Trung Quoc - said: This is an activity in response to the celebration of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 2010-8), March 8, 2025) and the 1985 Hai Ba Trung uprising, welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress and welcoming the 5th District-level Sports Congress.
Through the tournament, the campaign "Cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers exercise, contributing to improving their health" is being promoted, continuing the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
The tournament also encourages the movement of sports training and competition in the whole district, contributing to the harmonious development of health and spirit for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; promoting the spirit of solidarity, team spirit, and awareness of building an increasingly strong collective.
Units are allowed to exchange, learn, share experiences, enhance physical strength, unite and understand each other, contributing to the successful completion of tasks at the unit.

The tournament has 8 teams divided into clusters of communes and sectors, each team consists of 15 people. Union member Thi Chanh Soc The - Trade Union of Thanh Yen 2 Secondary School - said: "The tournament is an opportunity for women in the district to meet, exchange, learn, share experiences in work as well as in life and promote the spirit of physical exercise and sports. The tournament also creates a vibrant competitive atmosphere for union members and workers to work enthusiastically and complete professional tasks well".
