On October 15, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's thematic monitoring delegation led by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Confederation of Labor.
The delegation supervised the relevant records and documents at the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor and the Dong Ha City Federation of Labor on the results of the concretization and results of the targets for the implementation of tasks in 2024; the organization and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the resolution of the provincial trade union congress; the organization of propaganda, dissemination and study of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the resolution of the provincial trade union congress; the development and promulgation of action programs and programs, projects and plans to concretize the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the resolution of the provincial trade union congress.

Must strive to perform assigned tasks
Mr. Nguyen The Lap - Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor - said that to carry out trade union work in 2024, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor has set 15 targets to strive for, developed 28 tasks and solutions to implement and concretize them to sign a commitment to assign responsibility to trade unions at all levels for implementation.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees has been focused on. For example, during the 2024 Lunar New Year, trade unions at all levels supported 14,622 union members with an amount of 6.1 billion VND. Trade unions at all levels have increased dialogue with employers; focused on negotiating and signing collective labor agreements in newly established enterprises and re-signing expired agreements...
The Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor has focused on disseminating the law by innovating the content and diversifying the forms, suitable to the characteristics of each subject, focusing on contents such as: Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level, Social Insurance Law, Labor Law and Trade Union Law. The patriotic emulation movement has been promoted and widely deployed. Notably, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the Writing Contest on "Workers & Trade Unions of Quang Tri" and the Music Video Clip Contest "Proud of Quang Tri Trade Union Members".
By the end of September 2024, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor had established 25 grassroots unions with 2,530 union members. It introduced 1,043 outstanding workers and civil servants to the Party and admitted 903 party members.
At the working session, on behalf of the monitoring delegation, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the results of leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of the 2024 Trade Union Work Program of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation.
Regarding some limitations, the monitoring delegation suggested that the Provincial Federation of Labor should make efforts to implement them, especially the target of developing union members which is lower than the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor has accepted, explained and made some proposals and recommendations to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
