On October 15, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's thematic supervision delegation led by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor. According to the plan, the delegation conducted thematic supervision at the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor on the concretization of the implementation of the 2024 Trade Union Work Program.
The monitoring delegation supervised the relevant records and documents at the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor and the Dong Ha City Federation of Labor on the results of the concretization and results of the targets for the implementation of tasks in 2024; the organization and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the resolution of the provincial trade union congress; the organization of propaganda, dissemination and study of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the resolution of the provincial trade union congress; the development and promulgation of action programs and programs, projects and plans to concretize the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the resolution of the provincial trade union congress.
In addition, the monitoring delegation inspected and evaluated the results of the implementation of the 2024 Trade Union Work Program in a number of key areas such as representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; taking care of the interests of union members and workers; propaganda and mobilization work; emulation and rewards; developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; promoting Party development among workers; women's work; and union finance.
On behalf of the monitoring delegation, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong highly appreciated the results of leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of the 2024 Trade Union Work Program of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor. The monitoring delegation also pointed out a number of limitations and requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to make efforts to implement them.
In particular, the target for developing union members in 2024 is currently lower than the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (2,530/4,700 union members). The monitoring delegation requested the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor to review enterprises that have not yet established a union organization and recruited union members to complete the set target...
In response to the comments of the monitoring delegation, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor accepted, explained and made a number of proposals and recommendations to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
