On September 6th, the "Workers with Law and Security, Order 2026" Festival took place at Tan Tao Industrial Park, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Police in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, bringing practical legal knowledge to workers.
This is one of two key propaganda programs implemented in September 2026 in industrial parks in Tan Tao and Phu My wards (expected to take place on September 27), attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
At the program, communication booths, administrative procedure guidance, residence registration, along with drug prevention education spaces and traffic sign recognition games were organized vividly. The organizing committee also launched the "Golden Bell Ringing" contest, screened video clips warning about traffic accidents, propagated crime prevention and 50 gifts were presented to support workers in difficult circumstances.
Through visual methods, functional forces have conveyed many topics on traffic safety, network security and methods of operation of various types of crimes. Ms. Phan Thi Quynh Nhu, a worker working at Tan Tao Industrial Park, shared that she was once vague about new types of drugs disguised as powder or electronic cigarettes.
If I am not directly guided, it is very difficult for me to distinguish drugs from ordinary powders. These knowledge helps people who regularly travel or deliver goods like us to proactively raise our vigilance and avoid being exploited by bad guys," Ms. Nhu confided.
In addition, online fraud warning content has also received great attention. Ms. Lan Huong, a design employee in Tan Tao ward, said that her colleague was once impersonated by bad guys who urged her to deliver goods to defraud her of 400,000 VND. Learning knowledge through images and real-life clips helps workers remember easily and not be psychologically manipulated by strange calls.
The support from the program also brings great encouragement to disadvantaged circumstances. Receiving the gift, Ms. Vu Thi La, the main breadwinner supporting a large family with 10 years of work in the locality, emotionally said that the propaganda sessions helped her gain more self-protection skills when coming home late from work as well as be vigilant against the risk of being exploited.
Ms. Vu Thi La shared: "Thanks to the guidance of the police force, I know how to prevent risks for myself and teach my children self-protection skills. I really hope that practical propaganda programs like this will be replicated throughout the country so that people can improve their understanding and live safer lives.
Assessing the effectiveness of the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of the Working Group for Trade Union Management of Export Processing Zones - Industrial Parks of Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed that the festival is a very practical activity. Due to the nature of busy work, workers have little opportunity to access legal information, direct propaganda combined with lively forms helps workers absorb effectively. In the coming time, the working group will continue to coordinate with the police force, local authorities and guide grassroots trade unions to integrate legal dissemination into thematic activities at enterprises.
