Laborer rear" supports workers to overcome difficulties
In recent years, the "Laborer Rear" program implemented by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation has become a fulcrum for many union members and workers in difficult circumstances. This is an initiative to support workers from poor and near-poor households to escape poverty sustainably, recognized as a provincial-level initiative in 2024. From the end of 2022 to now, trade union levels in the province have cared for more than 166,000 union members and workers with a total budget of over 51.4 billion VND, helping many families stabilize their lives and gradually escape poverty.

One of the typical cases supported by the program is worker Nguyen Thi Truc Linh - Ty Thanh Co., Ltd. From the 3-year capital support source of 20 million VND, her family has conditions to invest in cattle breeding and develop household economy. Ms. Linh said that previously her family was near-poor, and life faced many difficulties due to income mainly depending on workers' salaries. Thanks to the timely support of the Trade Union organization and family efforts, by the end of 2025, her family had escaped poverty, and life gradually stabilized. In addition to livelihood support, many union members in difficult circumstances were also supported by Trade Union levels to build houses and mobilize more socialized sources to complete spacious and stable housing.
In parallel with taking care of union members' lives, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation also focuses on developing Party organizations in non-state-owned enterprises. The whole province currently has 1,942 party members and workers operating in non-state-owned enterprises and residences, with 69 grassroots party organizations in enterprises. This is the core force in labor production, contributing to building a stable and harmonious working environment in enterprises.
Worker Truong Cong Nhan - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Vinh Tien Garment Joint Stock Company - said that the development of the Party organization in enterprises has created motivation for union members and workers to actively strive in labor production. Many party members and workers are not only exemplary in their work but also take the lead in emulation movements, technical innovation initiatives and trade union activities.
Spreading the model of caring for workers associated with Party development in enterprises
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that the "Laborer Rear" program is implemented to help union members and workers in difficult circumstances stabilize their lives and feel secure in labor production. In addition to direct financial support, the program also focuses on supporting livelihoods, repairing and building houses for workers to develop the family economy in a sustainable direction.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh, since the program was implemented, trade union levels have mobilized to build 773 Trade Union Warm Houses, Compassionate Houses and Comradeship Houses for union members and workers in housing difficulties with a total cost of over 36 billion VND. At the same time, the Provincial Labor Federation also coordinated to support livelihoods for 21 cases with a total cost of nearly 5.14 billion VND. Through this, 98 households have escaped poverty and 2 households have moved from poor to near-poor households.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh added that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation always identifies Party development work in the non-state enterprise sector as a key task, with long-term strategic significance. The Trade Union has proactively advised on the establishment of the Steering Committee for member development, establishing grassroots Trade Unions associated with the goal of developing party members in enterprises, contributing to consolidating the role of the Party organization in production establishments.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh, the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style has been widely implemented by trade union levels and party members and workers. Many workers have concretized it with technical innovation initiatives, a sense of responsibility and professional working style. From the reality of production and labor, many young workers have strived to join the ranks of the Party.
